Hey everyone!

This was a crazy stage. I know I said this so many times but they sound so good live. Dancing like this and you can clearly hear them breathing through the mic and they SOUND SO STABLE LIKE HELLOOOOO?

I know they all speak English (Dani and Hanni being native) but their English pronounciation is on point and you'd think they are all native speakers actually hahah

Super proud of them for being the first Kpop artist at Lollapalooza and they smashed it, apparently they also broke the record of being the most visited/watched artist there? not sure!

Yay, finally! And just in time for Lollapalooza which starts today! (It’s a 4 day music festival in downtown Chicago). Also, you should watch the behind the scenes from this too. It’s so cute seeing how shocked they were at their popularity in the U.S.

Thankyou for this!! yes.. they are the only current gg in kpop as far as i know that all members speak english from a very high to absolute fluent level... (maybe not even current but of all time) also giant maknae Hyein did so well... as soon as it was over and they went backstage poor girl burst out into tears... (there is a video footage of it) it says a lot at her age for her professionalism to keep it in whilst on stage.. and yes... imo.. they have been forced back to a company they never wanted to work with... their sound has been confirmed it will be changed.. honestly i dont care if hybeador want to change them aesthetically visually but them changing their very 'distinct' urban western 90s rnb and dance variations will kill them for me .. at least for older fans like myself.. because thats what drew me to them in the first place and thats what i loved about them... i feel adorhybe will take their musical direction into what they do with their other girl groups and thats just current trending music.. which old folk like me.. well me at least.. absolutely hate

fun fact! they did this set at Summer Sonic in Japan. the venue was packed with people at noon in the middle of summer (40c°). after their show people instantly left the venue because it was so hot like scorching hot. Summer Sonic said that it was the first time to see the venue packed at noon. some people have to left early because they having heat stroke 😭

i am watching your reaction for the 4th time already i love it lol.. wish you didnt skip the band playing though that omg band with the guitars and no vocals was awesome... also i think it was dani and hanni said they really fancied that guitar player and thought she was hot lol

lollapalooza is one of THE BIGGEST music festivals in the states... this was a REALLY big thing for them and shows just how huge they were at the time... they were legit about to become the biggest kpop girl group overtaking everyine before the drama happened.. to achieve what they did in 2 years s insane... they won more awards in that time than other groups did in 5+ years active

**NewJeans situation, quick rundown:** Since debut, HYBE never did PR for NewJeans even though ADOR's contract (under Min Hee-jin) required it. The girls knew and clearly weren't happy about it. Backstory: Bang Si-hyuk asked MHJ to handle HYBE's branding and create their first girl group together, but he didn't like her direction. She tried to quit, HYBE kept her by giving her a sub-label — ADOR. MHJ promised NewJeans' parents they'd debut. But Bang didn't like the concept, so he pushed another GG under Source Music that debuted ~6 months before NewJeans. K-pop labels normally don't debut groups back-to-back (resource issues), so the parents got worried — but MHJ fought until NewJeans debuted anyway. NewJeans blew up. Then HYBE suddenly removed MHJ as ADOR CEO, accusing her of trying to take NewJeans out. Lawsuits ensued — spoiler: MHJ won. All 5 members jointly demanded ADOR fix issues within 14 days (as allowed in their contract), including reinstating MHJ as CEO. ADOR met none of the demands, so NewJeans announced contract termination. ADOR sued over contract validity. NewJeans presented mistreatment evidence but the court ruled the contract still valid. They chose not to appeal and agreed to return as 5. Then: ADOR announced Haerin and Hyein returning, then Hanni. Minji's negotiations still ongoing (unresolved to this day). Danielle got her contract terminated and is being sued for damages. The 4th anniversary clip was a gift for Bunnies. No comeback confirmed, ADOR hasn't even assigned a new producer. Danielle's case is still in court — ADOR has no evidence to submit despite the judge asking multiple times. That's the story. Whether you keep supporting the girls is up to you. No judgment.

Regardless if you think boycotting supports the girls' actual wishes or not, I think NewJeans got too popular and HYBE will easily be able to make a profitable glide towards the end of their contract using their brand recognition. Especially if the general audience still likes whatever potential music they'll have to put out until then.

ok this is probably one of the best neutral explanations ive read so far so thank you! this is so messy and the girls dont deserve any of this bs that their CEOs pulled them into... its so hard because i wanna support the girls so badly and at the same time i keep hearing stories that they are forced to do promotions etc and obv i dont wanna support that so its so HARD

yeah i rly like the music direction that newjeans had/have ;/ idm the current edm, house type music of HYBE rn but i would prefer the tunes from before as well i cant lie. I love le sserafims music and idm the current trend they follow, but i do prefer their earlier songs too.... not sure what happened

I understand that some people hate the greedy corporation of Hybe. And I understand that we should support the artists despite the evil corporatation. My stance is simply the music and content. If the music is good, authentically NewJeans, and they seem happy. I’ll support. If the music sucks, then I won’t. But I won’t pre-judge the them without seeing them. I know we are heart broken that Dani is gone, but really the fans can’t control that.
