Thanks for reaction to this Emme, I really love this series. Kamala is so relatable and the pace and vibe of this episode is so fun and creative. I am pretty sure you will love the whole series for her origin story. p.s. I still love Bend it like Beckham..! :-)

The actress who plays Kamala is also a super fan of the MCU just the character Kamala Khan is a super fan of the heroes

The Superhero name Ms Marvel was actually used by Carol Danvers in Ms. Marvel #1 (October, 1976) who you'll know as Captain Marvel within the MCU. Carol Danvers wouldn't go by the name Captain Marvel until Avenging Spider-Man #9 (2012) just 7 years before the first Captain Marvel (2019) film. So basically the MCU made Carol Danvers the first and only Captain Marvel, skipping over her Ms Marvel era. Kamala Khan would first appear in Captain Marvel (Vol. 7) #14 (2013) going unnamed and just a few months later would re-appear in All-New Marvel NOW! Point One #1.NOW (2014) as Ms. Marvel, only a decade ago as of 2024. For the most part this show does an amazing job at translating her character from the comics to live action. Only big difference is how her powers are depicted. In the comics she has the ability to elongate her limbs similar to Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four who you saw in Multiverse of Madness. While in this episode the powers seem more more magical/cosmic a change maybe to differ her from Reed Richards? But regardless I do really like how her powers are depicted in this show.
