hi everyone!

here is my timed reaction to doctor who season 7 episode 12 "nightmare in silver"

i'm happy that the kids clara nannies got to join us for an adventure! seems like some foreshadowing for more cybermen as well!

thanks for watching with me!

My friend did some indie film work a few years back with Eve Allan who played Angie in this. Apparently they're non-binary. They also had a laugh together when he dug out his old Angie 'Battles in Time' trading card!

If you didn't recognize Emperor Porridge, he was played by Warwick Davis. He played Wicket the Ewok in Return of the Jedi and several cameos in other Star Wars films since. And if you haven't seen 1988's Willow, I highly suggest it. It's a shame what Disney+ did to the TV series though... I remember being irked by Clara's parting "See you next Wednesday" line when I first watched this episode. I was frustrated by her lack of character growth or knowing anything about her at all really, and then her taking charge like she did in this episode seemed unearned...but hindsight and all that. She became my all time favorite companion, and seeing the groundwork of that being laid in her first episodes is a lot of fun.

I do like they tried to update the Cybermen in this, when you have an old character it's good when they try out different stuff, I really liked the cybermites idea. Also Matt Smith was excellent in this, a human version of Smeegal from LOTR when he talks to himself, think he did a great job of essentially being two people at once.

yes!!! that's what he was reminding me of i just couldn't place it! such a good way to describe his acting here

I love this era and I love Moffat’s writing but that last line by the doctor (about the tight skirt) is so bizarre and out of character. This episode gets a lot of fan hate for that line alone
