you're spot-on with clara's arc, i think it was always heading here, hubris stemming from devoting her whole life and heart and mind to the doctor, and him implicitly encouraging it because he was just as devoted. that final scene....whew! "don't run.....stay with me" that delivery always slays me. can't wait to see what you make of the next couple of episodes, I think it's a fantastic season capped by a pitch-perfect finale

This episode chokes me up every time. Clara became my favorite companion over the course of this season because of how they developed her relationship with 12. And once again Jenna and Peter knocked it out of the park.

I think the theme of this season was to show us how similar to the Doctor Clara has become, how invincible she felt and i guess she had nothing to lose like you said at the end and she is the first companion in the NuWho era that had a real death. And she is also the longest running companion in NuWho yet, at least in terms of episodes.

RIP Clara. That last scene between them really breaks my heart the more times I watch it. Shes literally about to die and all shes worried about is making sure the Doctor doesnt lose himself and go off the deep end. She knows him too well.

"THE DOCTOR IS NO LONGER HERE, YOU ARE STUCK WITH ME. And I will end you. And everything you love." Terrifying. Also like another commenter said, there's a post-credit scene that's worth seeing.

Don't worry. Doctor Who almost never does that so a lot of reactors miss it, but it is truly a wonderful post credit scene. Short, but beautiful. Shout out Rigsy <3
