Accidental early upload, the edited version will still be tomorrow!

Absoluti0n

Even though it was accidental, what a pleasant surprise! I know what I'm watching later 😁 This is my favorite episode in all of Doctor Who.

Merlin’s Cat

Peter is such a great actor and one hell of nice guy. This episode is one of the best bar none.

This is the first episode to air on my birthday in my lifetime. That was 28/11/2015, my 40th birthday. I turn fifty next Friday.

that theme you recognized was "A Good Man?", 12's theme from season 8! such a gorgeous tune. so glad you liked this one, i remember my jaw dropping when i saw him making progress through the wall! very sweet that, in his darkest and most vulnerable moments, he turns to a mental image of clara <3

Jade Ellis

Happy birthday. I turned 50 on Tuesday.

Lee Gannon

Thanks you and happy birthday to you too.

This is my absolute most favorite episode of Who. I've been so hyped as your reaction to this approached. Fantastic reaction Emme, as always.

Next Friday this episode aired ten years ago in 2015! A decade of this absolute masterpiece. Peter is still busting down the wall as we speak. I love the mind palace thing being the Tardis, and he just hangs out in there with Clara when he needs his safe space. The reveal of how long he's been there is maybe the best part, it's so good. Him crawling up the stairs and burning himself looking INTENSE btw, dark mood Capaldi is undefeated lol Also for you wherever you get your music, 'A good man' is the music you hear at the beginning and throughout the series. The final montage (can we take a moment to appreciate that!) is called 'The Shepherds boy' - Listen to both in their full glory, masterpieces. 'Peter popping off monologues' is an excellent sentence btw lol One I fully agree with, just give this man the mic and his monologue and let's go!

I've watched three NuWho episodes so far today. Two are absolute premium top tier. Heaven Sent, obviously, and Midnight. Dinosaurs on a Spaceship being the third, so far. Like a number of things Chibnal has written for Who, they inevitably fail greatly in comparison.

I pulled up this episode just to watch along with you. My roommate is at PAX Unplugged this weekend so I'm watching alone and when The Shepard's Boy part began I started bawling like a baby in my apartment. I remember watching the premiere 10 years ago and it shook me then and still does now! People like you are the reason we keep coming back: to experience it again for the first time! <3

It’s easy to see why this series as a whole is my absolute favorite, and this episode alone is enough to make it so.

Great reaction, this is my favorite episode of all television Capaldi is phenomenal and his performance carries the brilliant writing

Bryce Bassitt

Oof, Dinosaurs is probably my least favorite episode in the series

i agree, i love the dark mood capaldi portrays!! thats crazy its almost been 10 years

Heaven Sent is the one episode I was waiting for to subscribe for the full reaction, peak Doctor Who. They shortened The Shepherds Boy by Brothers Grimm to make it more cinematic for this, the full story is that the king asks three questions to the shepherds boy with the promise of adopting him as his own if he answered like a wise man, how many drops of water in all the oceans? how many stars in the sky? how many seconds in eternity?

Triborda

at around 37:45 the doctor says a line that reveals that he remembers the entire 2 billion years in the confession dial by the end

oh wow interesting!! i havent heard that story before

Drake

It's crazy that we never see the start. In the beginning it's starting with his hand becoming dust and the water full of thousands of the skulls already and the stars showed it was already thousands of years in the future ... He stayed Billions of years ... Imagine doing this for billions of times ...

Joe Cleveland

Except that just a little later on he explains that every time that he starts over from the copy of himself saved in the transporter, he is returned to the way he was when he first arrived.
