So just to let you know, River's story is now over if it wasn't obvious from the episode. The next time she sees the Doctor is in the library from her perspective where she has the screwdriver the Doctor gave her in this episode and she mentions the singing towers of Darilium as the last time she saw the 'future' Doctor. The last chronological time we see River is in the Series 7 finale which you saw; Name of the Doctor where River was a data ghost after being uplodaed to the library, and she was mentally connected to Clara.

You might have missed it but when the Doctor gave River her screwdriver he scanned her brain briefly. This is so her consciousness could be saved as a data ghost in Silence in the library, which he knew had to happen as he already did it as the 10th Doctor
