Hi everyone!

Just making a post here to guide you all to my youtube community post here where I’m asking for some tv & movie recs! http://youtube.com/post/UgkxCu5CBdnG_7CW9xCBsgOusd-Z2yohwmxV?si=LTW5cCt-_4CQUU6J

You of course can share here too but it’d be appreciated to also comment on the youtube post since I will be mostly referencing that as that will be easier for me to have it all in one place.

Thank you!!

Commented on YT, but I’ll put it here too. I don’t know if you’ve seen these already, but if you haven’t would love to see the Yellowstone franchise (Yellowstone, 1883/1923) - EPIC series in the latest spinoff, Marshalls starts March 1 so it’s continuing

James Tollan

Definitely Fringe, that series is awesome.

Joe

I commented on YT But for fun here are my TV recommendations: Pluribus. Great first season. Amazing lead performance. Can’t think of another show like it. Blue Eye Samurai. Watched it recently and was blown away at the story, the animation, the action and the whole vibe of it. Queen’s Gambit. A mini series so not a long commitment. Super compelling show about chess, which doesn’t sound like it would be, but it is. Solo Leveling. This anime would tie in well with your gaming interests.

I'd love to see reactions to Fringe.

Chris Padwick

Movies: Hot Fuzz, Shawn of The Dead and World's End

Chris Padwick

TV: Sherlock (it's co written by Steven Moffat & Mark Gattis, Emme!), Silo, Good Omens (I know Neil Gaiman makes it controversial but the rest of the cast and crew shouldn't suffer because of his awful behaviour)

Ash Davis

Legion! It’s an X-Men spin-off show that might be the most creative show I’ve ever seen grace a television screen

Vedsång

Blue eye Samurai is the only show I can think of for Eme

DOUGLAS M. WHITE II

Elementary Leverage Dexter Penny Dreadful A Different World

5Myllyon

Been waiting for a Jujitsu Kaisen Reactions forever!! Plus I think you would like Sherlock a lot. The other comments inspired me to recc this as well

Lol there is so much variety in these suggestions. People be suggesting everything from niche anime to mainstream superheroes to old ass movies. I guess you can pick anything you like and part of the community will like it too

charlieh65

Person of Interest - best procedural drama show , Red Dwarf - best of british comedy, Ludwig - british detective comedy, The Devil's Hour - mind-bending detective story, Xena - a classic, and Noragami or Soul Eater for my anime pick

Matt Cheol

Kdramas in general. but if you want to keep it short (and weird), Chicken Nugget. (dont come at me tho, it's not great... but it's a story about a girl who becomes a chicken nugget so thats something!)

aplatonicjacuzzi

Seconding KDramas. I'm particular to Hotel Del Luna.

To be entirely honest, Sherlock has a lot of issues with spectacle over substance and is a really poor adaptation of what makes the books special; not trying to dismiss it, it's still really good, it's just I watched it back in the day and hindsight makes it mixed at best IMO. Totally up to you and I'd watch it with you anyway to gather my thoughts. Shetland is a favorite of mine that's new to me and it's an extremely well done, mature but also still enjoyable mystery procedural from Scotland, normally those aren't shows I like but this one is...just incredible, oh man. It's so human and grounded, fun and serene and dark all at once. There's almost nobody who's reacted to it but it's phenomenal and one of my favorite shows hands down when it comes to recent TV. Community would be fun too but I'm excited for whatever comes next no matter what!

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure and Pluribus are getting my vote(s)

Aldo Gonzales

Maybe Cobra Kai once you watch what’s left of Karate Kid

kdramas are unfortunately off the table for me. i have a friend who does reactions for them and their copyright seems the worst, even moreso than anime. in addition, their episodes are super long a lot of the time too so it'd be like committing to a series of movies. but i do like watching some kdramas in myf ree time!

emmereacts

i have already seen sherlock anyways so i won't be reacting to it!

Amy the Defiant

Gotcha sounds good! Thanks for the reply
