If you want a fun little minisode sequel they made to this episode I recommend Doctor Who: LOCKDOWN | The Best of Days. The director of this episode and all of Peter Capaldis season finales Rachel Talalay also just released two videos about this episode including some behind the scenes things and cut footage from Capaldis speech to the master/missy. Highly recommend giving these things a watch even if you dont react to them

I really like this finally, as you pointed out it shows the scariest part of the Cybermen the trauma of losing your humanity & it being as Bill said, worse than death. Reminds me of the first time we see them in NuWho when there was the woman who didn't want to see her husband before her wedding and then the resolution to that episode when their emotional inhibitor chips are blocked & the people see themselves in the suits and lose it. Twelve's where I stand speech, The Master & Missy conclusion which was fitting because it was so F'ed up. Also just the atmosphere of the episode, it was mostly calm but unnerving because you knew that an attack was coming, it was all so good, even the lighting towards the end when it was twilight really added to it all. Loved it

Re what you said at your screenshot here… Who are these people sending you mean comments? Let us know and like the Doctor we shall fight them and destroy them like Cybermen! #TheTrollsFall

Missy's ending is perfect. She stood with the Doctor without hope, without witness, and without reward.

The song “Where There’s Tears, There’s Hope” is the song that starts playing when The Doctor wakes up and it was one of the greatest pieces of “lost media” from Doctor Who is it were for a few years because The BBC refused to release the soundtrack from Series 10. We’re finally getting it and it popped up again for the first time in years in the most descent series finale. So brilliant in every way.
