This episode, the last and the next are my favorite out of all of new Who. Bill's experience upset me the most out of all companions I'm also really envious that you weren't spoiled by the Master reveal. When it originally came out they included him in the season trailer and I really wish they hadn't

This is an exceptional finale, one of my favourites that I've rewatched many, many times, you need to get the song 'The Doctor lies still' on your device (the song used when Bill and the Doctor are left on the battlefield) it'll change your life and make you sad every time. I love everything about this episode, the way the Masters went out, Nardole being made to realise he's actually stronger than the Doctor because he's the only one who can lead the humans, no one sees Heather coming back, where there's tears, there's hope, and there's always tears watching this episode, and man did Bill need hope after this, what she went through was insane! But yeah, this finale, to me anyway, is a masterpiece. Also you'll be unsurprised to know Peter Capaldi basically nailed the 'it's just kind' speech first time, God I love that man and this Doctor so much.

the scene with Bill crying over the Doctor and then Heather (water girl) returning for Bill always makes me cry, the music too is just so good and sad

Omg i know! But in fairness I believe it was leaked that John Simm was coming back before the series aired so they just decided to include it in the trailer to 'get ahead' of the leak. Which is such a shame they had to do that. But it was probs the right decision in that moment. Having said that, I KNEW he was coming back cause I'd seen the trailer and, genius that I am, I didn't clock it until he actually took off the Mr Razor mask lol. So it worked out for me as a twist regardless. And I think it probably did for a lot of people. A friend of mine clocked it well before that - some intonation of Mr Razor's voice. And if you listen carefully there are a few soundtrack clues that it's the old Master underneath the mask. Brilliante!

So much insane weirdness and beauty and smart, smart writing in these finale episodes. And SO much good acting. Series 9 and series 10 have, imo, probably the best finale eps ever. Some of the best eps ever, full stop! Also, Bill getting her lesbian puddle lover back? Gorgeous. (And I'm not sure there's any other show about which you could speak of a 'lesbian puddle' apart from Doctor Who lol.) Incidentally, I'm pretty sure they confirmed it as not deliberate, but just a nice coincidence - Bill and Heather (lesbian puddle) were also the names of the actor who played the first doc, William Hartnell, and his wife - so, William (Bill) and Heather. Very sweet ;( God, I LOVE this show. Above all, I love Capaldi and Mackie and Gomez and Coleman and Simm. Fantastic, all of 'em, you might say. A true golden era. Also, hats off to Rachel Talalay, the director, who directed s8, s9, and s10 finales - some truly lovely directing and photography in all those eps. In this ep in particular, that shot of CyberBill holding the Doctor in her arms in the fog at the beginning, and Missy lying dead on the forest floor - bloody spectacular. Iconic images, honestly. And, of course, hats off to the Moff - Steven Moffat, the writer. He really kept his powder dry and delivered some of the best Doctor Who ever - nay, some of the best television ever.
