I'm glad your enjoying The Flux. I hear opinions that it is weak and out of all modern Who, this is a valid opinion to have. But it's one of my favorite, especially this episode. There's something about Yaz and companions investigating on their own that is so interesting. And wow I never realized that was Gibbs 😆

When Jericho said that he was going to "ablute" it got me in my feels because my dad used to say that last century when I was a kid. Ablution is a cleaning of the body, especially as part of a religious practice.

So when the Doctor tries to call UNIT after realizing a Dalek reconnoissance scout is on the loose in the "Resolution" special, it had been shut down by the Grand Serpent and his serpent-ettes.

I already liked Flux, but watching along with you with your enthusiasm and positive engagement is so fun!

So when Dan, Yaz and Jericho were weeping angeled back I believe they were in 1901, when we joined them this episode it was 1904 and I think most of what takes place for them happens just in that year, or roundabouts, but they've definitely been at it for three years so yeah, that's some team! I really liked the interactions between the doctor and 'mum', think she has a point about her treatment of the doctor having some similarities to the doctor and companions, I mean, Donna did get her memories wiped! It was kinda like Jodie was being scolded by her mum lol Oh, and as if proof was needed, it isn't, but Kate is such a badass! Like yeah I know who are you and what? lol

Yeah this season does bring quite a wide range of opinions from fans you're not wrong lol But overall I'm quite a fan myself, I liked the long form storyline, the very BIG episodes and I found lots of it really good.

22:30 "That's our new Corporal, he's a shouter ..." The off screen voice is Corporal Alistair Lethbridge-Stewart, later aka the Brigadier, Kate's father. A little easter egg.

it made me giggle how the date come up as 1904 every time, it must have been so stressful thinking it was another year flying by each jump to a new location :'D
