About the cross: There are fictions where other religious symbol work, I vaguely remember reading a novel where vampires were repelled by symbols of their previous religion but not those of other religions, a star of David would work against a vampire who was a Jew but not a cross.

Yea Angelus is just a dick... and the show definitely gives a hint as to how brutal it can get here. Just a miserably wonderful episode. BTW, what platform are you watching on? Hulu is struggling to stay in-sync during the "commercial break" moments.

It is popular belief that Angel was invited in to Giles's place off screen.

This was the first episode of Buffy that i ever watched and I watched it live. I had no idea what kind of show it was, thought it was just a goofy, maybe dumb show. After watching this ep I immediately binged the entire season to catch up. Season 2 is peak buffy

Hey just a heads up I think this video has not been added to your Buffy playlist. Also haven't watch the reaction yet but crazy episode obviously

One of my favourite episodes of tv ever. The acting throughout is amazing, and the look on Giles' face when he sees the body gives me chills every time.
