hi friends!

we're beginning THE BAD BATCH!

here is my timer reaction to episode 1 "aftermath"

Also a wee note: when editing i remembered i did see animated Saw in clone wars! But he looks nothing like how he looks here. What do yall think of that?? I thought it was a bit odd.

I just noticed something funny. After they break out of the brig, they run down a hallway. Hunter is in the lead, and he does a hand signal to stop, and Omega copies him. She’s never done hand signals before. It’s cute, I never noticed it before. We’ve seen AZ in the Clone Wars. He helped Fives figure out what was wrong with Tups and removed Fives’ chip.

Lmao it is weird that Caleb sounds so much older than he is but trust me there’s a reason they didn’t hire a child voice actor, I’ll leave it at that

I think they designed Saw to look like a mix of his Clone Wars counterpart and Forest Whitaker the actor who plays him in Rogue One and Andor. He definitely looks more like his Clone Wars counterpart in this episode but with a few changes such as his haircut and beard.

Yesss, The Bad Batch reaction has started, and that was amazing. Interesting that Caleb sounds like a 40 years old guy... interesting indeed... The Probe Droid Hunter shoots after talking with Saw (by the way, Clone Wars Season 5 episodes 2 to 5 were the 1st time we met him) is possibly what Cassian was building in prison, but we don't know for sure. And the Palpatine scene is the one from Revenge of the Sith in the senate, just before Padme says “So this is how liberty dies… with thunderous applause” Thank you so much Emme!

you did see caleb and his master in Tales of the jedi: also briefly in the last arc of CW in a transmission between Ahsoka and Obi Wan. and he does have a mature voice... there's a production reason for that that we can't really say yet.

Nala Se may have prevented Fives from uncovering Order 66, but she does really care about Omega, and she overrided the blastdoor controls so Omega could get out.

So you should know, there is a very good reason for why the Caleb Dume sounds so old, but it's a pre-emptive to explain why now. But let's just say it'll be revealed in due time.

Hi Emme, Saw Gerrera is younger here in Bad Batch and was earlier, even younger, in Clone wars episodes in this look / animation style.
