I meant to post this link last night but I got in late from the airport and literally fell asleep while eating hummus. I am confused as to how that happened. But here are more links to things discussed in the melittology episode! Frigin love bees, man.

Thank you, my dear patrons, for all of your donations to keep the podcast going. Not only can I pay an editor to help produce them, but I was able to go to Portland to do 4 interviews over 2 days with amazing ologists like Amanda. Thank you for contributing to so much learning for so many folks. Pat yourself on the back today. Dad's orders.

This was pretty good, but it would be nice to get a native bee expert on. There is a growing body of research showing that keeping non-native honey bees negatively impacts our native bees. If folks care about bees they should create habitat using native plants, not keep colonies of non-native bees.

It seemed to me like Amanda made this point multiple times in the episode.

Don’t get me wrong, I thought it was good and well rounded. Just a bit biased toward honey bees.
