Darwinism, finch beaks, gene editing and romance with close relatives await you!

The Moore Lab of Zoology's John McCormack explains how our mutations are our greatest strengths.

Also some existential crisis on my part, per usual.

I am sometimes an unbearable pedant and I want to thank you for saying "per usual" instead of "as per usual". x

Just finished this one. I really enjoyed it. Lots of info here. Really nice guy you interviewed.

You mentioned a pneumonic device to remember the scientific method, here is a musical one I learned in sixth grade, to the tune of Frere Jacques: Name the Problem, Predict an Answer; Experiment, Experiment; Record Observations, Record Observations; Form a Conclusion, Form a Conclusion

It may get stuck in your head...it's been in mine all day!

ummmmm I just listened to this episode and the secret at the end was that you ate a chocolate coin that you found in the bottom of a bag.. that triggered this memory. My cousin and I were in Hong Kong and going out for the night, our taxi driver didn't want me to get too drunk (I was drinking a 7/11 long island ice tea in a can) so he scooped a handful of nuts out of a container that was in his centre console and put them in my bag. We thought it was funny and nice but gross, you know.. when you wanna eat some nuts but all you can think about is how a stranger man handled them into your bag where they have been floating around with your money. Anyway approx. 7 hours later my cousin sees me across the bar eating the nuts out of my bag. I have no regrets.
