BOOP MY NOSE or if for some reason if it doesn't play, try this link: https://vimeo.com/264364809/25bcf88f64

There were tons of great questions and I answered them all at the time this was filmed this evening. Please forgive my hair and also know that I think each and every one of you is very smart and warm and awesome. (Even if I sassed you just a tiny tiny bit, Mark.)

Also re: social media -- if anyone has tips on how to be *faster* at photo editing, captioning & meme-making, HOLLER. I loooove talking to listeners on social media, but sometimes captions & memes give me writer's block.

$8+ tiers: I have a special bonus BONUS video for you in which I rant about something that pissed me off today. It's uploading now.

Thank you all so much for supporting the podcast. I creepily like you a lot and sorry if I seemed a little tired and spacey today. Blame my hair and tax season.

Patreon Video - April

Hello Patrons! Hi. Hey.

Comments

Thomas Pico

Dam. Can’t get it to play.

Alie Ward

GAAAAH! Shoot -- let me change the privacy settings!

Alie Ward

Okay, refresh and let me know if that works! Some privacy settings were funky.

Thomas Pico

I’m sitting here at lunch bored. Could use a good Ologies about now :)

Greg

Why do I always end up talking to these videos like I'm actually in the room talking with Alie but I'm totally not?

Michelle Sullivan

Thanks for the video Alie! And girl, your hair is gorgeous.

Lindsay Cadregari

Thank you for the video! If you’re ever in Detroit again, let’s do drinks and talk about weird shit!

Brian Edge

Wow, I love sleeping, hiking and eating cereal too!! HA

Jessica Looney

Alie—Love ya so so much. If you ever get to Memphis would love to hug you and give you good food for your mouthhole.

Mark Donahue

Haha. So called out, I am. Thanks for answering my question(s) and everyone elses. Videos like this are another reason you and your show are so accessible and endlessly listenable. Keep being awesome! Edit: The whole "dad" thing is a little odd, but I totally got why you did it before the explanation. I'm a dad. I know. My wife says I can be a bubble burster, but that's not my intention. I just like conversing and sharing knowledge. Oh, well.

Eva

Great hair and wooooo parasites!

John Worster

Ok, first of all you are a workaholic. Take some time off once in a while. You don't have to release an Ologie every week, you need to take care of yourself so you don't get burned out. If you have a long Ologie, make it a 2 part one. Your hair look fine by the way.

Pelvis Resley

Oh poor poor bastard metrology... It can actually be really interesting. Metrology plays a huuuuuuuuge role in manufacturing (consider that every component that is on the space station, or on a plane, or the mold that made your blow drier has been touched by metrology in some way). If you can make horology fun, I'm sure metrology would be a breeze. I may be biased though, since I'm pretty sure that metrology is the closest -ology to my career (manufactology?).

Al Martinez

Thanks again for another Patron video. Loved both of them today. I know they can take some time to do but they are truly appreciated. Keep em funny, insightful and can’t wait for the next time.

Stefan Titus

Find a metrologist! I think that would be fascinating, and I could think of a whole list of questions. How often do you know what the interesting part of an interview will be? It's usually something you didn't even think to think about.

Euan Munro

Thanks for the video (I didn't pay for) Alie! I'll let you off for struggling to pronounce my name - Euan is just another spelling of Ewan (like McGregor). No big deal though, for example; one of my wife's family friends mispronounced my name during a toast at our wedding!

Sara Meredith- Smere Tactics

Also I love what you're doing, I love you and I tell pretty much everyone about Ologies. Ologite foreva!

Matthew

His name is pronounced TIE-CO BRA-HEE. He lost his nose in a fight

Heath Allyn

Oh, Alie. You gotta stop. With the being adorable, charming, interesting, funny, playful, intelligent and just seemingly unbelievably amazing. You're killing me. And your hair is fucking fabulous. (Don't actually stop.)

I know I'm way late to this party and you probably have heard these things a million times but I wouldn't get tired of hearing them if I were you so I'm going to say them. I think your podcast does so well because you embrace the weirdness (a lady dad who doesn't want children, unabridged cussing, calling fans Ologites, being the French fry under the seat of a car, etc). You embrace the world's weirdness and your own weirdness and that makes us all more comfortable in our own skins, or at least mine. You could be doing any podcast and it would be just as popular because your weirdness is just what we needed.
