Last minute breaking news: tomorrow at the Field Museum in Chicago, I'm meeting up with an egg-spert on oology so hit me with your bird ovum questions if you got 'em. 

I have no idea what to eggpect out of this one but I'm eggcited as shell.

Also I had a huge aversion to them as a child would get sick it was awful (my mother didn’t believe me and she had them put a raw one in an orange Julius and I puked it all over the table to the restaurant in our Dillard’s. Good 80’s memories). I am totally fine with them now. What gives? Even the smell would make me throw up. But now pull my frittata out of my cold dead hands.

You won’t be far from me! Welcome to Chicago! I love The Field. What’s the deal with reptiles and laying eggs? It just seems weird. I guess it’s because both birds and reptiles descend from dinosaurs, right? All dinosaurs DID lay eggs, right? Or were there exceptions?

I have 3 chickens and one has become broody. She hasn't laid an egg in months but insists on sitting on the others eggs and gets aggressive when I try to move her off.. What causes this and how can I break her of it? I have no rooster so the eggs aren't fertilized and removed daily. Thanks! PS the Field is AWESOME! Enjoy!

As a long-time vegan, I don't do eggs, but I was enthralled by the giant teal/blue egg I saw in a grocery store in Mumbai. Does that giant emu egg taste the same as a chicken egg? Are they all different or pretty much the same taste since the goo is the same?
