Dear Patrons,

Welcome to our July newsletter, with production updates and sneak peaks of forthcoming releases, as well as an exciting Patreon raffle!

Production Updates

ULTRA Part 2

The second instalment of our ULTRA series joins the Allies in the darkest days of World War Two. Codebreakers have cracked Germany's army and air force Enigma, but with U-Boats causing havoc among Allied convoys in the Atlantic, it's a race against time to break their naval Enigma. Alan Turing takes up the challenge in Bletchley Park's Hut 8, and, through a combination of ULTRA intelligence and his own genius, will develop a groundbreaking solution.

James Malcolm will unpack this critical phase with his usual stylish graphics and stunning CGI. Here are some sneak peaks at the famous Bombe machines!

World War Two Part 1 - 1931 - 1934

World War Two Episode 1 (1931-34) is imminent! The voice-over has been recorded, the maps finalised, the music composed - I just need to honour a few family commitments and return home to finish the final edits! Watch this space...

Return to the Hundred Days!

Sharp-eyed followers of our social media will have spotted confirmation of our plans to remake our very first video, the Battle of Waterloo. This time, it will be a 4(?) part series, covering the prelude, course and aftermath of the Hundred Days campaign. We'll be taking a short hiatus from the American Revolution series to get this done, following Part 5.

Elsewhere, work continues on Rise of China Part 5, American Revolution Part 4, Verdun in 3D...and a few other projects that we're keeping under wraps for now!

One Cool History Thing (and raffle!) - Danger in Pompeii

Now and again, we're contacted by fellow history lovers with exciting projects to share. One such project is Danger in Pompeii, a new adventure puzzle video game developed by DNA Studios. The game allows you to explore the ancient Roman city, solve puzzles and attempt to escape the devastating eruption of 79 AD.

We can see how much effort the team has put into creating a fun and educational game, based on research and historical sources. This is a great one for anyone who loves Roman history, and particularly those with children who want to learn more about this fascinating chapter of ancient history!

To celebrate the game's launch (today!), they've been kind enough to give us 15 free access codes to raffle to our Patreon supporters. We'll be raffling 3 to each Patreon membership next Tuesday, so keep an eye on your inbox to see if you're one of the lucky winners!

If you'd like to check out the game separately, here's the Steam link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1592920/Danger_in_Pompeii/

That's all for this week, but we'll be back with more videos and updates in August. Until then, thanks as always for your amazing support.

I’m as hyped as the 5th Regiment of the Line was when Napoleon returned, for this return to the Napoleonic Wars! 😎

Seth Pridgen

ULTRA part 2 is going to be great.

SCL

So many exciting projects. I personally cannot wait for the 100 days! I was lucky enough to be one of the very first people to watch the original EHTV Waterloo video as I randomly came across it while browsing YouTube. Now I will be able to see the 100 days once again but this time in all it's current EHTV glory!

BP Gaming 175

So for the hundred days, I am assuming that Quatre Bras and Lingy will be 2 separate episodes? Since you said 4 episodes, I’m assuming one on his return, one on Quarte Bras and one on Lingy, and one on Waterloo.

TankerBricks

Excellent update! Very much looking forward to all the new releases - especially the Waterloo Remake!

Franco Curotto

Damn each project is more exciting than the previous one

MrAH2010

Tristan Nagel

BEST epic history TV sender ever

Medin Burnic

Fantastic news! I’m beyond excited about the Waterloo remake. A four-part series covering Napoleon’s march, the lead-up battles, and the epic showdown at Waterloo is going to be the perfect finish to the Napoleonic Series! Looking forward to more updates!

Titanius Anglesmith

Amazing I love Napoleon I also want you to do Muammar Gaddafi seizure of Libya in 1969

Discorules

I know the Waterloo series is going to be, dare I say, epic.

Lord John 🇵🇱💚

Can’t help but wonder will We revisit this stylish beautiful epic & horrifying topic again but perhaps with out the direct involvement of the Emperor. Examples like Important Generals & others of important rank. Battles not covered in the series, Medical treatment? An in depth look into those who opposed Napoleon, Blucher Schwartzenburg Wellington their officer corps & general staff would make for excellent documentaries perhaps the revolutionary engagements that didn’t involve the tiny Corsican, Or Suvrovs unraveling of Napoleons triumphs. The time of enlightenment has so many fantastic topics that need to be covered. 💚💪🏼🇲🇨 another quick example You have a list consisting 12 of Your best Revolutionary & Napoleonic wars their Generals & Commanders. In the opening of Your Marshals series that right there is perfect for reaching documentary status 💚 please consider it.

Daniel Lionsberg

Can’t wait to see Waterloo redone!! Epic History has always been the inspiration to my YouTube journey! Thanks

Marshal Mac

Incredible! I'm hoping a Series on some irish history is soon?? :))

O

HUNDRED DAYS HUNDRED DAYS!!!! :DDD

Yargo

WOW those are thrilling news !

Medin Burnic

Indeed! There's so much to explore in the Napoleonic era beyond just his battles. Alongside covering his enemies, perhaps we could also see comprehensive videos on Napoleonic battle tactics, his legacy, and a final assessment of his impact on the French Revolution (I do recall, though, the last of these having a poll on the EH Patreon here at some point a while ago). You are right, too; the Napoleon series is fantastic, by far the most popular on Epic History's channel. I don't see this series Waterloo as the end of it!

Hazzey

I'd love to see a break down of the Napoleonic armies for the great powers if they had the time. Say something like the Russian empire, brief history during the wars/reforms, list off its overall structure/comparison to other powers (number of soldiers, dogged infantry, lots of artillery, a little lacking in light infantry), a few famous/premier units (Guards/Cossacks), top commanders and then a few lesser known notable moments in battle showing valor and bravery. It'd be a great summary series covering France, Austria, UK, Russia, Prussia and maybe even a 6th for minor powers like Saxony/Bavaria/Spain and the Confederation of the Rhine

Seth Pridgen

What is your estimate of WW2 part 1?
