Here's a few behind-the-scenes shots from the Battle of Leipzig video that I thought you might enjoy. There's some cool artwork from Osprey (Young Guard vs Russian jaegers in Golden-Gössa), an overview of the battlefield at end of Day 1 (all work-in-progress), my order-of-battle notes and a screenshot showing troop movements in the editing software, which gives you a sense of the scale and complexity of the battle! (Blücher's Army of Silesia in green at the top, French troops in blue and Schwarzenberg's Army of Bohemia in red).

This episode is proving an interesting challenge given its size, but hopefully the result will be worth it.

Quick reminder for those on Twitter, Facebook & Instagram to make sure you follow Epic History TV! We're doing regular posts on lots of bits and pieces of history, including some interesting details which don't make it into the videos, which I'd hope you'd enjoy.

Thank you again for your support and making this possible, and enjoy the weekend!

You're the only historical YouTube channel that I could watch rerun after rerun and not get bored of your videos. Keep up the good work!

Scope looks absolutely fascinating. Probably time to plan a full rewatch of the series.

EpicHistoryTV

That's good to hear, especially as my videos seem to take twice as long to make as everyone else's!

Never thought it took that much work, I am very impressed. I am glad to have subscribed recently, it deserves to be compensated.

But to say that they're twenty times as good would *still* be an understatement! <3

Wow, very impressive. Please take all the time you need, this will be an epic one. You are the absolute master of historic military documentaries... Hands down.

From what We can assume, this Video Will be the longest Episode, surpassing the 27 minutes of The Retreat from Moscow video. The longer, the better. Is it like that? @epichistorytv

It would have been awesome if you had done a separate video on the battle of Dresden. That battle is one of my favorites and it shows Napoleon's true genius.

EpicHistoryTV

I'm not sure if it will be the longest, but the battles are much more complex to animate.

EpicHistoryTV

Sadly not time in this series, but we can always return to some of the other battles if it gets enough votes! I'm surprised that Dresden is a favourite though. The Coalition made such a mess of things, Napoleon really only had to order an all-out attack. I suppose the genius was in getting enough troops there before the allies knew what was happening.
