A few very early sneak peeks at the upcoming Battle of the Nations video. As you can see, Napoleon has got himself in a corner... For those that don't know, Leipzig, aka the Battle of the Nations, was the largest battle fought in Europe before the world wars. It was roughly FIVE TIMES the size of Austerlitz! And for that reason, this video may take a little longer to produce... Your patience is much appreciated, and I hope it will be worth the wait. More updates soon, and thank you for supporting Epic History TV!

It's impressive to see it all on one screen. The hype begins

Alex Myatt

Just finished rewatching your video on Salamanca. Any time I go back and watch older videos, it makes me hungry for more. Can't wait for Leipzig. Take as long as you need - it's always well worth the wait!

Dan Jaggers

This is definitely shaping up to be the biggest battle seen yet, i'd dare say this might even set a new standard for how battles should be shown on youtube considering all the details and little features put into it so far.

Stuart Carver

Looks awesome how big a battle is it compared with non European battles up till then or any battle outside the world wars? Also will the tiny British contingent with there rockets get a mention?

EpicHistoryTV

The rockets get a little mention (and a very nice painting) but not a big enough unit to feature on the map unfortunately. In terms of big battles, well I'm sure there were giant battles in Asia, but I'm not an expert on the Mongols or Chinese campaigns, and not sure how reliable the numbers are. Perhaps others know the biggest battles of non-European history pre-20th century?

Take your time i reckon most people (including myself) prefer quality over quantity any day

Anna

I am sorry, but on the second screen you've misspelled the surname of VIII-th corps commander. He is Poniatowski, not Poniatowksi ))

Peyman Mostafaei

All I want from you as a patreon is thorough examination of the battle. Honestly, I don't care how much time it takes to finish. So, take your time

Joseph Dell

Really looking forward to this episode! Your videos were the reason I really started reading about Napoleon and the era. My brother noticed and even bought me a statue of Napoleon to commemorate the obsession! 😂

on pic 2, i cant explain but iu just love the way its set up with units and the commanders

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Changping This is one of the earliest decisive and gigantic battles in Chinese history; however, note that the number of combatants from the historical records might have also included non-frontline participants, like those involved in carrying and transporting supplies.

Please take as much time as you need to do the battle justice! I've seen every single one of your videos - WW1, Russia, etc. They are *always* absolutely unparalleled in their quality compared to any videos I can find online. Take the Napoleon's retreat from Russia video for example, I could not find any documentary, any video, any article etc., that summarises such a complex topic so succinctly, yet with so much detail!!! If anything, waiting for longer only makes me even more excited about what's to come next 🤩🤩🤩

Grimace

I can't wait :)

EpicHistoryTV

Great! Have you found the Abel Gance silent film 'Napoleon' yet? This is the true measure of the Napoleon obsessive!

Joseph Dell

I have not seen it yet. I am aware of its existence. One of these days I'll watch while tieing flies!

Simon Hagsten of Sweden

Do you guys have a rough estimation on when the video will be out? Two, three months, dates? :)

Sitraka Forler

Hoooo génial !! As a french I sadly and yet gladly hope to see soon this video ! Keep calm et continuez ainsi !

You guys at Epic History have really come into your own on this series! Great work and thank you
