Dear Patrons,

Ad-free early access to our Napoleon in Italy compilation video! As voted for and made possible by you, our Patreon supporters. This version is two hours long, and I'm pretty sure it must be the most detailed documentary ever made about this immortal campaign.

We'll be releasing it to coincide with the launch of the new Napoleon movie in a couple of weeks. (Just in case people want a version with no glaring inaccuracies!) Thanks again to PMF Productions for their brilliant work across the series, to HistoryMarche for the battlefield maps, and to Keith Rocco for the artwork.

There's no Patreon charge for compilation videos. Enjoy!

Just what I needed! Love your work

Tony Kim

Awesome. Thanks for compiling it all together

Andrew Herbst

Great! This is just a complication video correct, there is no additional content?

Good marketing gotta get all those new Napoleonic nerds being created into the channel 👍 also I might do this and the film back to back to get my fix. Just so you know the title for this video on nebula says 1798 instead of 1796. Also just personal taste but I really like this style of compilation where the intro is the same and can be cut out as for the HMS Victory and Belisarius ones I feel you should have either have done that or included all the intros regardless as I loved them all and always feel like I’m missing something without them.

EpicHistoryTV

Good spot as ever, thanks Stuart. I had been working all day on a script about the Battle of the Nile, must be why I typed '98 without thinking! It's always a tricky balance - I think episodes need to stand alone, but then for the compilation, I ideally want to create a seamless experience. Can be quite fiddly in the edit..

I wil cry if this counts as our November video

EpicHistoryTV

No November video, but two in December, see my last post for details!

I absolutely LOVE this series, the way you make these videos is amazing, the format works so, so well! I'd love to know where you get all of your sound effects and music from?

EpicHistoryTV

Thank you Tavana! Most of the SFX and music are from royalty free sources around the web. We use Envato, Audio Blocks, Filmstro, various others. Some of the more recent music is commissioned specially for the channel.

Tavana

Oh wow, I'm definitely gonna check those out thank you and thank you for the absolutely amazing historic content you make for us!

The recent Eylau episode has made me wish we could get the same treatment for the battle of Dresden. The road to Leipzig video reduced it to a minute and a half affair and as Napoleon's last truly meaningful victory, St-Cyr's brilliant but desperate defense and the Murat/Victor slog through rain it totally deserves to be expanded upon imo! I can already picture the fateful moment when Napoleon arrives in Dresden and the French cheer him on, cuing the allies to his approach before they make the decision to not retreat. I think there's plenty of material for a standalone video. I live in hope.

Tavana

I smell another possible Napoleon video! XD

excellent suggestion my friend
