RealCam HeadMotion - Update in Progress (Patreon)

Hi All,

I’m currently working on an updated version of RealCam HeadMotion to improve the F9 show/hide function while ETS2/ATS is running.

For most users, F9 Open Key is already working correctly. A smaller number of users still need to Alt-Tab before they can access the app. The app and all of its features still work normally for those users, Alt-Tab is only currently needed when they want to open the app and make changes to the settings.

I’m testing a more reliable solution for this and will release an updated build once I’m happy with the results.

You can also find the Release post with the update regarding joystick compatibility here:https://www.patreon.com/AngusMay/posts/realcam-v0-2-now-172624083?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=postshare_creator&utm_content=join_link

If you experience any issues, please make sure all installation and OpenTrack setup steps have been followed correctly before reporting a bug, as incorrect setup can lead to issues that are unrelated to the app itself.

Thanks to everyone sending feedback and helping improve RealCam HeadMotion.

I cannot wait for the update. In the first version, I was able to use the app with no problem. However, with the second version, I cannot seem to open the app in-game. I tried to change to a different key, but it still did not work. Keep up the good work.

Good job! Just tested the app and it’s working fine but I can’t recenter the camera. The keybinds are not working.

Project Ultimate

Hey, not yet as i am still gathering situations and examples in which this is not working

TatsuYa

How do I rebind Num0?

Project Ultimate

Hey, at the moment it is not bindable. I will add this to the bindable options for the next update

Zach Attack94

Can you add more keybinds like one for camera centering? It conflicts with the console command free camera 0 button? Or just allow us to in game camera keys for interior?

Zach Attack94

Change it to something else or allow us to bind it to our own key

Hello, Angus. I’ve had trouble getting the telemetry to work since the early beta versions, but I finally identified the cause yesterday, and it’s now being detected correctly! It feels so natural—I had been using a "beam camera" (head-tracking/camera-based view) previously, but it was incredibly exhausting. My PC isn't particularly high-end, so that setup was quite demanding; not having to use the camera anymore is a huge relief for my system performance. Regarding feedback from other users—and speaking from my own experience—it would be absolutely perfect if keyboard key bindings could be assigned to the steering wheel buttons. Also, for any other users struggling with telemetry detection: check if there are any conflicting DLL files in your plugins folder. In my case, I had a sound modification file (ZAF) from ZEEMODS installed, which was causing the issue. Once I completely reset the game and re-applied everything, the telemetry started working properly. If your in-game vehicle shakes violently or flips over when you turn the steering wheel, it’s likely a sign that the telemetry isn't being detected correctly—just something to keep in mind! Thanks so much for this fantastic update; I look forward to future improvements. Best regards!

Thank you a lot for this, i will dig into that and try to provide somw instructins for the next versions along with this feedback

can't wait hate it it's not working properly

Project Ultimate

Hey, i mean it is working properly in most cases, however there ate certain exepctions on users pcs that are unable to run this properly which i would need to know about. Did you only experienced being unable to bring the app with the F9?

Kris Krol

I mean, it works as in it loads in, the F9 doesn't open the app in-game, only on the desktop. Keybinds don't work for the camera. The indicators work when moving left and right, when turning. Trying to figure out the issue, but not sure what's happened; previous version worked fine. I did try sending you a video via Google Drive but no luck.
