Hey gang,

Taking a cue from the 'unwrapped' versions of creator-owned issues I've posted here, Marvel has put together a special "Director's Cut" of CONAN: SERPENT WAR #1 for the digital comiXology release. This digital edition has over 100 pages (!!)  Making Of material, including my full script for the issue, pencils, inks, unlettered colored pages, and all the variant covers.

Oh man, am I super excited about this. The Red Headed Woman isn't Red Sonja, right? Sorry, I haven't read any of the current Marvel Conan stuff, YET. Thank you for sharing this!

The redhead is Dark Agnes. Red Sonja is a weird hybrid character created for the comics who is a combination of two different Robert E. Howard literary creations - Red Sonya and Dark Agnes. Agnes' fiery disposition, red hair and intense need for freedom all come from the source material of Agnes. So, in short, Agnes is in many ways the 'original' Red Sonja.
