Thoughts on The Batman (2022)

Hi Tyler and Sophie, Wow, this is so great. Thank you for making a special video about a new film. That is so nice of you both. It’s so great that you do this for your Patreon members, it’s in my opinion a really nice gift. I am glad that you both enjoyed ‘’The Batman’’ a lot. I can understand that Tyler was looking forward to his film since he is a big Batman fanatic. You both give some great opinions about the film which I agree with. I have seen the film myself as well and I overall really liked the film. I have seen it just once, and I am planning to watch the film again sometime. I only don’t want to spend the time yet for another 3-hour runtime film. I prefer now to use it for a film that I haven’t seen yet. But still, I did like the film a lot. The filmmaking is extraordinary. It looks beautiful. What I also liked about the film is that the film doesn’t introduce any Batman material. I liked that the film showed it in a way where you must know Batman already. I mean, I would not recommend this film to someone that is not familiar with Batman himself. And this sounds perhaps strange to you, but I know personally plenty of people that haven’t seen a Batman film. But again, there are other Batman films that they first can watch, and then this film. I did have some criticism with the film and that is that I wished it was a tiny bit lighter. I did like how serious this film was, but then I remembered that I was watching a character in a cape beating up people. So I wouldn’t have minded if it oftentimes used some jokes. And, I didn’t like the Bruce Wayne character yet. I can understand that he doesn't know yet how to behave like Bruce Wayne, but that does sound to me unbelievable. I just hope that he smiles at least a few more times in the next film. And I also hope that Alfred gets a better role in this film. It felt to me as if he was a bit unnecessary in the film. But overall, I enjoyed the film a lot, and I wanted to thank you both again for making this video. Have a great Easter day Best Jacob from Holland

So glad you liked it! I totally agree about it being nice that they didn’t go through the same old origin story again. I’m interested where they take this new iteration.
