RemoveYourMedia's Abuse of YouTube's Copyright System (Patreon)

I want to take a moment to talk about what's happening on YouTube with anime reaction channels getting an insane amount of strikes and even account deletions. While my channel has been unaffected so far, I think it's important to address RemoveYourMedia's abuse of YouTube's copyright system. Nicholas Light TV has addressed this in several videos that luckily my algorithm showed me, otherwise I would have no idea this was going on.

If you are unaware of what's going on, I ask that you watch his video or videos like it as they explain it much better than I ever could, and make some noise for us in this space. I believe legal action is being taken, but as I am not a part of it, I can't say anything for sure. I have sent YouTube an email with my thoughts on this matter, and I know it will go nowhere, but if we have enough people reaching out and making a stink on social media, maybe it will help these people & the channels affected and save some of them from losing everything.

To be clear, this is not the copyright holder issuing these takedowns & strikes like what happened with Demon Slayer Infinity Castle reactions last month. That would be a different matter entirely, as it is the copyright holder's right to do so.

This RemoveYourMedia company is using AI to take down any content with the words Naruto, Bleach, etc., in it, even if you aren't reacting to the actual show. Even if you're using pictures from the show, or literally just talking about it with no video or images whatsoever. Which is not a copyrightable offense btw. They are sending cease and desist letters to anyone who talks about them and their abuse of YouTube's copyright system. They're even going after YouTube community posts talking about this.

It's actually insane what's happening and I hope the outcome is in our favor. This has all been unnecessary stress for everyone involved and should show YouTube that they need to improve their copyright system so only the copyright holders can submit a claim with proof of ownership.

My channel is unaffected so far, but if using RemoveYourMedia's name & speaking out against what they are doing alerts them to my existence, so be it. Thanks to everyone who has made some noise on this issue and to all of those fighting against it.

After the whole Demon Slayer Infinity Castle debacle, this literally sickens me as this is 1000% worse since it is not even the copyright holder doing it!! It's some random guy with a website that states their location is a fucking Walmart. It's fraudulent and should not be allowed.
