Ok, the haircuts were pretty funny. And unexpected. I agree with you on the symbolism of starting fresh - I know it's a cliche about cutting off hair after a breakup (as Hori's father implied) I think because Hori is a more positive person in general, and was in a better place than Miyamura at the start, her outlook was a little more upbeat. She had the freinds already, but I think the key point from her dream is that no matter what, she would have found Miyamura and they would be together. If you find an english translation of the webcomic, please share because so far I've had little luck. Great series review, I've certainly enjoyed watching along with you!

On the engagement thing, I could be wrong (or could look it up) but I just remember something from My Dress Up Darling: at the beach when Marin blurts out "... just the 2 of us together!", in japanese it is close to how you'd say "let's get married" or something? So, in Horimiya, could it be a translation thing where Miyamura doesn't mean to ask her hand, it's more "subtle" and along the lines of "let's go out/let's stay together/etc ..."? Ask your YouTube audience, I bet someone smarter than me knows. ;-)

Interesting! I’ll see if it’s the same translation in the comic & manga too

I did a quick search and what was said in both manga & anime is 「じゃあ、結婚しよう」 (Jaa, kekkon shiyou) which directly translates to "Then, let's get married"
