August React Taylor Swift (LYRICAL CORNER)

Comments

I Am Not Chamari

As someone who doesn't REALLY identify as a Swiftie but loves to listen to popular music, I think there is still a LOT to pull from cardigan, august and betty even without knowing about the love triangle. Folklore might have been out for an entire year before I even began to learn what any of the songs were technically about. So, I think you should just keep doing what you're doing honestly! Sometimes lyrical analysis without outside context can bring you to some interesting and even accurate conclusions!

Cant wait for the next one! I just love you guys! I didnt realize she said "Sipped away like a bottle of wine" until now, she def says "slipped away like a moment in time" the 1st time

Yall should consider looking at the lyrics for track 5s off her albums. It’s a thing. They tend to be more personal or vulnerable. For example, for folklore my tears ricochet is track 5 and is speculated to be about her breakup with her old record label…as there is a reference to her “stolen lullabies” Sorry for a spoiler but just a reason to look into track 5s.

I have no idea how I missed this video before. I love that Danny said, I hate that she makes me google and Audrey says, Welcome to Taylor. It's literally so true. Half of the fun of being a Taylor fan is the lore and the puzzle and the connections and the easter eggs. Protip - for these lyrical corner ones where you'd want to see all of the lines, you should listen on Spotify with the lyrics up because spotify will show you the whole song and highlight each lyric as it's sung. Just for future thought!
