Omg guys, this episode feels like it took me forever to complete and it's a long one! I've been working on it non-stop. And I'm really happy with how it turned out. Hope you guys like this one and YES the hug scene is happening (just look at them)! 

In other news, I'll be posting some housekeeping stuff and a quick life update soon. Also you can expect the next Secret Garden post to be up within the next few days. But for now my brain needs to rest.

I love the fact that while Poppy may not be the sharpest spoon in the drawer, her kindness gives her a different kind of inteligence. Because Poppy cares about everyone so much, she is hyper aware of when people are unhappy, which is why she could see that Tora was upset. I think this is part of what draws Tora to her, he doest interact with people like that usually. The closest that he has probably come is Quincy, who lets face it, is extremely self centered. So Poppy lets Tora experience something he has probably been craving his whole life, but never even had the words for, kindness. And I think having Tora around will help balance out Poppy! In fact I would argue that we have already seen this in the comic. Poppys kindness makes her blind to the evil of others and makes her hesitant to defend herself when she should. Tora is teaching her to be stronger, and maybe she will learn to be a little evil when she needs to be! I am super excited to see where this will go! I love relationships where people are helping each other improve to become better people!

Aaaaaaah! Cuteness overload! The way they interact in this episode is sweeter than Poppy's dinner menu. I cant help but feel a bit suspicious of Mr. Lam's intentions. Is he actually being honest, or is it just a lure for Poppy set by the two gangsters he was involved with? So worried, but I suspect it will be fine as long as Tora goes with her. 🤔

I finally got to read it again with my undivided attention. And I did it with the music. I don't think you could have come up with a better musical piece for this chapter. I was able to time its tune and words to the panels to give them even more of an umph and it was precious and so special. Btw, if there is a way to click on something to listen to the music while reading, I'm either unaware how to do it, or it my computer won't do it. I ended up hooking up to my phone to listen while I read on my pc.

And I have a request. Can I/we have a download of Tora in his pose when he says "Fair enough". But just a shot of him and without Poppy's hand in the way. And without any words to it? That panel after where Tora was pinching her cheeks and after she's saying "ow ow"; the one where he's looking down at her. That's the face of someone who's completely smitten. He may have been intrigued, attracted, and had a whole slew of "I want to get to know you" sensations before that. But even if he may not know it yet, that look says his heart just melted. Lily, you are a gift to us in so many ways. (((hugs)))

And I noticed another special detail. When Poppy turns to him with tears in her eyes after she's done talking with Mr Lam, Tora's right arm is down at his side. The next moment, his right arm is lifted up as if he's thinking of reaching over to comfort her. Nice!! I almost missed that. Rest well and then some, Lily.
