New here. Sorry in advance, this is long. Lily, I doubt you'll see this as it'll probably get lost in the sea of comments, but I just want to say that I first found MPL on Discover when it still existed (before it became... Canvas (?) I think that's what it's called now). What initially drew me in to reading MPL was the beautiful art. And I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I recall losing interest because the plot felt so disjointed, slow-moving, awkward, and honestly... a little boring and cliche. It took me months to give MPL another try when I saw that it had made it to the Featured list. Ultimately, the exquisite art, which had gotten even better, drew me in yet again. And today I'm SO glad I reread MPL and gave it another chance. All I can say is that I'm shocked by how much everything has improved. I binge read the series in one day and am so hooked now that I've decided to even become a Patreon, something I've never done before. And I'm happy that I did! The sexy stuff is great, but so is being in a community that supports you and loves you for your amazing craft and dedication. I really can't tell you how much I appreciate the art, but I especially appreciate the improved plot and characters. They're almost unrecognizable. In Discover, I recall Mr. Lam being kind of a stuck up, standoffish man who didn't really drive the plot much. Now, he is an empathetic, caring, and wise man who makes such a marked impact on Tora's self esteem and also gives Poppy a second chance after her bungled first interview/meeting with him. I like that even a "side character" like Mr. Lam is a complex person who leaves such a strong impression on the main characters. I still can't get over his brief interaction with Tora at the airport. I felt emotional for the guy. I also like how naturally and organically Tora and Poppy's relationship is blossoming. In Discover, it felt very forced and cliche. I vaguely remember the summary saying something about Tora not being able to keep his hands off of Poppy. But when I read the story, the itty bit of romance felt so stiff and didn't really make sense. Tora was so stoic and never expressed his overt romantic interest in Poppy, and in return Poppy was still scared of him. Now, while the plot does move faster, it oddly doesn't feel rushed at all. The witty, flirty banter between the two works so well. There is so much expression in the art now that speaks bigger volumes than the dialogue, like when Tora blushes asking for a peck on the cheek. It's great to see how out-of-his-element he is, but for once in his life he seems happy, albeit a bit shy. Damn, I just can't get over his character development. I can't get over that beautiful rooftop kiss scene. He looked so at peace holding her close to him. Stellar job. I think I could rant on and on about how much I love MPL now, but the post would never end. Hopefully the above ramblings made some sort of coherent sense. Thank you so much for putting in so much time and energy into bringing us quality content. Hats off to your team as well. I can't wait for tomorrow's episode! ❤️ Rin

He'd picked one at random last time that had a distinct smell that coaxed out Quincey's muse. He'd had to listen to a story of a sexy pirate with baby hands because he smelled like Nautical Sage. Quincey's in a writing mood, and Tora would rather not get stuck beta reading if he could sneak off and go on secret picnics. Are those dates? *Blushing*. "Get ya shit together. It's just fuckin shampoo." Sighing, he headed toward the women's aisle. Something not sexy. Something not sexy, something not... Oh- What's this? Tora picks up the bright red bottle with the juicy strawberry picture splayed across the front. "I shouldn't, but..." Tora pops the cap and inhales. Ever since that night when Poppy jumped him and he sprayed juice all over her, anytime Tora smells strawberries now he daydreams of that night. Her wet, dripping hair. *sniff* Those short, pink shorts. *bigger sniff* Her soft breasts. She wasn't even wearing a bra! *ultra sniff* "Mom, what is that man doing?" The mom stops and stares at the giant man, covered in tattoos huffing strawberry shampoo. It would appear he's also preparing for a camping trip seeing as how he's pitched a tent. Tora realizing what he's just been caught doing, panics, grabbing 3 bottles of the shampoo and dashing to the cashier. Throws money at the bewildered teenager at the register and flees. Thank you for attending my brain cinema, while the story is free, I'm afraid I cannot compensate you for the alcohol you may consume in order to forget what you just read.

I truly reread the date ep like 15 times, it was just so perfect. Also tbu I think it’s one of the best date Sequences that’s I’ve ever scene in a comic graphic novel, it felt super romantic but super real which is kinda how I feel about you’re whole story telling. Like yeah it’s fiction but you feel like “yeah this is definitely how these people would react in this situation” I just love the webtoon so much

I honestly can say we call can't wait to see what Tora's blushing lines are all about. I personally think Poppy asked a question and made him blush or she "accidentally" made a pillow for Tora's back with those bodacious boobs, while trying to proceed to braid his hair and the though of them pressed against him long enough for him to feel how soft they are made him blush.
