I too am living amongst a major renovation and I can feel my work slipping cause it’s just crazy and stressful (our half-done bathroom is also our kitchen right now and there’s constant noise). I'm at this place with my kids and husband, it's my in-laws' vacation house which is under renovation (husband is doing it mosty by himself) for the past year and oh boy my creativity and my time took a beating with all the mess and the rubble and stuff to be done! My parents LOVED home construction. It was like a hobby. So I remember the “joys” of living through a dirty, drywall dust infested hovel many times 😅 it’s not pretty, and the level of stress you’re dealing with is unfair 😭 but I know it will be gorgeous when it’s done! A proper sanctuary for you, Mr. Lily, and kitty-lilies 😁 And in the mean time, I will always preach prioritizing mental health over production. My husband and I just took a spontaneous 3 weeks off work and my brain is already better for it. So short episode, no episode, whatever you give us, we will be happy 🥰 and if we do manage to get bad ass Poppy using Julri’s gerbil balls as a punching bag, then I’m all for it 👏👏👏
