Hello loves <3 Just hopping on to let y'all know that I'll include better trigger warnings in future episodes within the Webtoon app and my usual 'heads up' Patreon posts. I've figured out (or will be figuring out) a more appropriate way to implement these in future (thanks for the input Patty!) so those who might be affected will be better prepared. If any of y'all have any "TW" implementation advice or input, feel free to share them as well.

(Also, I know some of y'all might feel that TWs are unnecessary, but there are some in the audience who'd appreciate and benefit from them and I'm happy to oblige, so this isn't up for debate 🙏)

Thank you!

I think just putting it at the beginning of the chapter is okay. State what kind of TW it is and that’s usually enough.

Thank you For always thinking of your audience! You are a great writer/creator and you inspire me so!

Kiwi

At the beginning is fine :)

Life is beautiful

Thank you. And yes at the beginning should be a fair enough warning.

Im afraid now 😖 last tw i got from a webtoon was lore olympus and if something like that happens to our sweet poppy-corn imma riot

Mickiie1

You are such a sweetheart 💕 in the beginning of the episode would be great! I read lots of WEBTOON that has a pop up before reading or in the very top of the story when you begin to read ☺️☺️

Seazar

I really appreciated your heads up that the episode was going to be rough! I‘ve been struggling a lot the last few weeks, so even though I couldn‘t make myself wait to read, I did it while steeled for the worst and worked through my emotions at the gym 💪 It was really helpful, thank you Lily

Bedtime4Jesus

A few others have pointed towards Lore Olympus’ warnings, which I also found helpful.

Tiffany Krug

Thank you for considering your audience. I wasn't triggered, but some people definitely need it and the fact that you are listening to your readers makes me happy 💕

kinkajou

Oh I always thought webtoon was the one adding the warnings! The language across comics seemed consistent

larosamorada

Happy to help always! 💜💜

I agree with a few others on here, at the beginning with a little description (ex: violence) would suffice 👍

I don't always need them but as a reader I always appreciate a good TW. It lets me decide based on my mental state if I can handle something that day. I've had books totally break me before and I don't like it when hurts so good becomes hurts so bad. Not all trauma is sexual trauma. Violence and emotional abuse can be just as nasty to those who have experienced it. So thank you Lilly. Not all writers are as considerate of their fans. 🥰And thank you to all those helping her as well! Especially Patty since she named you specifically. 😸

As someone who suffered from a miscarriage, this episode was especially rough to get through, and I am glad you warned us that this was going to be a darker episode. Trigger warnings are always great to prep someone, so they may decide if they are mentally able to handle seeing sensitive content or not. Thank you for being the best, Lily!!

Calinda

I think Lore Olympus’s trigger warnings are very gracefully done! I’m one of those people that’s a little triggered by TW’s lol (I’ve changed my perspective a bit) but hers always strike me as gracefully done without giving away too much of the upcoming plot

I think having a warning at the beginning of the chapter is a good idea. Like a “warning, this episode contains themes of x, y, z.” I know… I don’t remember which comic, maybe it was LO, they put a literal red line before the panels that would be triggering, and a warning at the top that said “there is a red line before the sensitive content, if you are uncomfortable, stop reading when you get to the red line.” That visual was also nice. I know Tapas comics all have warnings at the beginning of sensitive chapters. You can also maybe put a warning in the chapter title? Like “Chapter X (CW: Sensitive Content)” and the warning at the top of the episode.

Trigger Warnings at the start of an episode is a really good idea. I know we get a warning on Patreon from Lily and usually the admins of the Facebook groups share those but not everyone who reads the comic use those platforms. It will also provide warning to future readers who find the comic weeks or months after that episode airs. There are a few episodes from the past that could also benefit from them (bloody Characters/fighting, the pool hall scene, maybe a few of Poppy’s Julri memories). A simple warning about blood/violence or physical/emotional abuse so people know what they’re getting into. We’ve seen how Poppy gets triggered by things that remind her of her experience at the hands of Julri, that same thing can happen to a reader watching Poppy go through that. I’ve seen a few comics where they had a warning and indicated there was a symbol or obvious pause in the episode just before and after the triggering part so those who needed to could skip over it but that’s really up to Lily if she wants to include that as it may be more complicated for her to work the story around those moments. Unless it’s something extremely graphic or distressing, I think the warning at the start should be enough

Tw at beginning I think is good. Somewhere under the pirating warning maybe?

ScarlettSiren

I would always rather see TW/CW that I personally don't need than have someone who DOES need them not have them.

Mo

It's a great idea. I'd rather have TW for those who needs it. Does it really matter if its there for those who don't need it? Nope.

Ellis

Personally I thought the TW (especially on Patreon) was great and built suspense for the story!

Christina Agan

I appreciate TWs for folks. I think given some of the strong reactions people had from the last episode that using them would be a good idea. As always, I trust your storytelling, Lily.

Jessica Colella

Warnings or not, story will take place. And in the best way, I think. We appreciate your work and consideration for anyone, Lilydusk ❤️

Kalyisah

Bless you Lily ❤️

MotherofConures

As long as they end up together in the end, I’ll be a happy reader no matter what obstacles are thrown into the story🥰 I love the story and all the extras you have on here! You’re doing an amazing job with the story, the artwork and being considerate to accommodate your fans. Everyone here appreciates you!!

Crowley

Glad to see this. I’m all for some good mafia violence in storytelling (Alice going “say hello to my little friend” al la Al Pachino is head cannon), there is something about violence to kids and pregnancy just hits different.

Keely

Even if some don’t need it you don’t know who will. Never any harm with trigger warnings. Can’t wait to see what’s ahead!

Muffintop Goddess

TW is a fair warning, the reader will proceed under its own responsibility. Why does people blur the line between fiction and a docudrama, anyway?

Mjpan_7

Better to have them and not "need" them to not have them and NEED them.

Jesse

Can we get a TW for these giant cliffs 🤣🤣🤣🤣 (In seriousness I agree TW are better to have and not need than to not have them)
