I know the preview looks like this lol, but next few episodes will get slightly darker and heavier folks. Heads up for anyone who's not up for darker, mafia-centric themes, or just aren't in a great headspace at the moment 💜

Although the last panel was a shock, I don’t believe at this point that Tora actually killed Gill’s wife. I still think Gill was the one who killed her. But I think that when Tora says that he killed her it is his guilt talking. That he knew Gill was dangerous and his inaction essentially ‘killed’ her. I think this also brings back to episode 97 where Quincey tells Tora that, “you don’t have to save everyone.” I think that Quincey is referring to Tora’s guilt over Gill’s wife, Joe and probably others they have lost along the way.

almost the last panel was quiet a cliffhanger! I almost fell out of bed. But now let's get serious. I admire you Mr Lilydusk. You always manage to shock us. this episode and it had it all. From fun to this harrowing confession. it becomes clear to me how Tora feels responsible for everything and suffers every time.

Lily..read and re-read (as always) You are definitely a great drawer , but equally a super storyteller. Balance between laughter, fear dread and leaving you reading in awe. Balance that only someone who has the story clear in her head (and knows where she wants to go) is able to do. The facts that until now seemed unrelated and without logic, are finding their place in the puzzle. Let's start from the beginning. Standing ovation for Quincey...in these last episodes, and with this one in particular, he reaches the apex of his untidiness and his role. If he wasn't around I think Poppy and Tora would still be at the tiger bento dinner (OMG). Quincey4President!!! It gives a light touch to this chapter that would otherwise be darker than it is. I died when Poppy reassures Quincey that he can safely jerk off.., as long as he cleans up afterwards (still laughing!!) and Tora wonders how she knows "these things" about men!!! But she's a nerd not aNUN! Poppy here you have been super... I hope that our BRO has understood . You will be super when THAT moment comes!!! Then all change register and narrative (Lily skilled at modulating drawings and dialogue) The story begins to shed light on some of the knots in the story. First and foremost, GIl's wife . Poppy deduces that Erdene and Jacob have been "protected" these months without their knowledge by Big Bro! (Tora I really didn't see that coming) and then the final twist. Poppy asks about Gil's wife...and this time Tora doesn't shut up and deflect the conversation. He knows that now he can and must be honest with Poppy, actually with Poppilan! Gil's wife is dead and he is the culprit.... But is he really?...I want (and we all want) to think he is not...But ... Tora suffers from post-traumatic stress (we have seen this in previous episodes) . In those moments he can do unconscious things...but I DON'T WANT to think about it.... I'd like to read next Saturday Poppy consoling TORA, a simple and lonely man, since always....and become his light...of life...of love

We know he didn’t kill Gil’s wife but just feels guilty that he didn’t save her, much like I’m guessing he feels guilty of not being able to save others in his past??? But I do wonder if and/or how many ppl he has actually killed. Am I naive in thinking he hasn’t killed many if any at all? We know he has a heart and doesn’t seem like the type to harm ppl for no reason despite his mafia connection. But he does have a notorious reputation so idk.

Soooo... Gil killed his wife (I think, at least, wouldn't put it past the slimy weasel), and Tora is internalizing the blame. That's deep, and I think it just proves how much a part of him regrets the life he has to lead to survive.
