Just like we have our dear Hugo... we also now have "Otoheim" as a new One Piece meme. By the way... i burst out laughing when Myosgard was just introduced, another character said his name once... and you actually listened to the correct pronounciation... while Otohime's name has been said dozens of times now... and you were still calling her "Otoheim" xddd Yeah.... Oda is very explicit at making character designs... but it's also worth noting that is not just "The Rich" to which Oda gives these ugly designs, because if that were true then people like Vivi and her father would also be ugly as fuck. As Oda himself said it... he only gives ugly designs to characters who are totally complacent and have no real drive or dreams in their life, while he gives good designs to characters who are actively pursuing a dream or goal (even if they are evil)... because in Oda's own words.... "the people who have the courage and strength to pursue their own dreams are the most beautiful". Another type of character to which he gives "ugly" designs are old characters who did have a dream growing up... but ended up either abandoning it or couldn't fulfill it for some reason... That's why characters like Rayleigh and Gloriosa, who are the same age... look so vastly different in their golden years. Rayleigh did achieve his dreams in his youth... so he has aged gracefully.... While Gloriosa had a dream that she wasn't able to fulfill (even tho we don't know what it was) so when she grew old she shrunk in height and became very shrivelled.
