What i really love about this moment... even tho it's really sad... It's how Oda explains even the weird and goofy mannerisms he gives to his characters.... When we first meet princes Ryuboshi and Mamboshi... they are always doing their characteristic music-themed quirks... like Ryuboshi ending sentences in "do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-do" and Mamboshi always adding a "Mambo!" to his phrases.... And here we see where they adopted such mannerisms... it was to cheer up their baby sister in a moment of great distress, it was to protect Fishman Island from the Berserk Sea Kings.... and it was a desperate coping mechanism to handle their mother's death. It's such a heartwrenching thing to think about... and it makes me love the Princes even tho they are side characters in this single arc.

Remember she did have good observation Haki and when she was shot she remarked how she let her guard down because of the papers on fire. So it must have been someone well informed that knew they had to distract her cause of her haki. So that's interesting.
