I still have no idea why Netossa and Spineralla weren't involved more in earlier seasons. Just do what they did with Seahawk and sprinkle them in during random episodes. They are too good of characters to get such little screen time lol but this show does have a pretty big cast so I get it

The way Adora's genuinely upset about not getting to throw a tank, I can't with this show. Some could say it's very convenient how Adora starts to lose her connection with She-Ra in the Fright Zone, even more so at the Black Garnet chamber and especially near someone she haven't seen in a while. Losing her confidence there is very much on point. Oh boy, the Failsafe, I think one could write a decent sized book when analyzing this episode alone. Starting with how Shadow Weaver is an amazing character and a horrible person who caused a lot of both physical and psychological damage to her wards. I'm pretty sure it was the first time someone genuinely asked what Adora wanted, not for mundane things like where you wanna go or what are you wanna eat, but in general and not related to winning the war for the good guys (which is of course a noble cause, but it can't be the one and only goal for forever) and how damn fitting that it was Catra who asked her that. Anyways, I just wanna hug these hurting beans. Or better yet, have them hug each other.

Perfuma is by far my least favourite character and she tends to annoy me, but I respect her moment of "I *AM* STRONG!" because it resists the tired 'break-the-cutie' trope and does show her strength of conviction.

[Return to the Fright Zone] The bit with the weaknesses capped off by Catra getting spray-bottled and netted is so good. "They all look so badass, I hate it." Seriously. Prime's control lacks any self-restraint they might otherwise have. "I love that we're getting more of Netossa and Spinnerella" Yessss. Power couple for sure. Fun fact! The voice of Serenia in the recording is none other than ND Stevenson himself (just like Spinnerella)! The "you're my weakness" moment is so good, and complemented so well by Perfuma's line to Catra after. [Failsafe] No more Spinny in the Horde shot in the credits, and Spinny and Netossa are reunited in the ensemble! 😁 Catra drops another "Not because I *like* you." I love how *immediate* Catra's reaction to being touched by Shadow Weaver is, despite the need for stealth. Really speaks volumes. "Did you see Adora's face right there?" The *best* face. She's *so* pleased with both herself and Catra. Of course Adora does it; all responsibilities are her responsibility. Even Catra can't dissuade her from that, both with "It doesn't always have to be you!" and also with "What do *you* want, Adora?" 😭 Adora finally standing up to Shadow Weaver, with "I will never forgive you. You *ruin* people!", hits so hard. [Outro] I don't think it sucks that you're coming up on the finale; I'm delighted to see your reaction to it, and I've been thrilled to be here for your journey along the way.

I sort of got the feeling that ND wanted to include them more in the earlier seasons, but possibly DreamWorks or Mattel was against it. Sigh. It's great that they get a nice B plot in this season though. Awesome to see them have an actual arc.
