i looooooooove the way that this episode revolves around, but does not directly involve, bojack. also, the moment you realize who that is at the end is one of the best "oh shit" moments of the series. also, man, waiting three months between this episode and the next one when it came out was wiiiiiild.

I love how so many people Bojack and even the fans don't think of are still suffering from the consequences of his actions. Also love how Hollyhock gets the reveal of what happened in new mexico, but not the part that most people find so awful. The fact that Bojack supplied strong alcohol to kids and got one hospitalized is absolutely a lot closer to her trauma than the stuff with Penny. She's realizing she's not the first person to almost die because of substances in Bojacks care

I think on first watch I may not even have quite gotten how what BoJack did to Gina led to her reactions in this episode... partly because it had been a year IRL since season 5 so I'd forgotten some things, but I have to acknowledge also partly because I'm a guy. So I can empathize with Gina but there's very much a gendered aspect to both what BoJack did to her and how the industry responds to her trauma that's not something I have experience with.

I'm really glad you picked up on Gina's PTSD and how what BoJack did to her damaged both her ability to trust and her career. Man what a brilliant episode. Yeah BoJack might be doing better personally, and starting to be a bit more of a positive force in the lives of those around him, but he has SO much fucked up shit he's done that he can't just get a pass on because he went to rehab. Your reactions are doing so much to remind me why this is possibly my favorite TV show of all time, certainly in the top 3. The old-timey reporter lady is voiced by Paget Brewster, I love her in everything she's done. I know this is kind of a divisive character because she's A LOT but I think she's hilarious.

Paige Sinclair is one of my favorite characters and this is one of my favorite episodes. I can’t wait for you to see every episode. You will laugh, cry, contemplate your life choices and be on the edge of your seat. This show is amazing 🤩

Paget Brewster is Paige Saintclair and Max Greenfield is Maximillian Banks - they both do a tremendous job, they have to be some of my favourite characters despite showing up so late in the show. They’re just so much fun

this episode is so gutsy, especially in the final season. zero main characters, just the women bojack's hurt. and yeah, paige sinclair! her and maximillian are some of the funniest characters on the show imo, they provide some good levity in the otherwise -very- dark stories of Penny and Sarah Lynn.

And I'm still watching so you may cover it later, but this is the only episode that has none of the main 5 characters. I think the only other one without BoJack is Season 4 episode 1, where he's in Michigan while PB starts running for governor.

Ok your reaction at the end made up for everything. That was definitely a jaw dropping moment when bearded "Peter" revealed he was Pete Repeat. What a way to end the mini season; agonizing 3 month wait!
