So this episode, Boba Fett finally starts to defend his position, snorts a Lizard and dances around a fire with Tusken 😂 This definitely wasn't the direction I thought this show was going to go!

👊😃👊 "Like a Bantha!"-Boba Fett And thus Thousands of brilliant Memes were born 🤣🤣🤣 Pretty interesting but fun Episode I'd say. Yeah looking at the show in Hindsight it's clear the Flashback parts are definitely the more interesting and prominent & focused parts of the show so far and much more story is done in them and they're taking their time with it, whereas the present day plot they're kinda just moving it at a slow pace for now, like it's implied much time is passing during all the past stuff and then the Present day is giving bit by bit each episode so it's not like there's too much to miss in present day at the moment 😂 Krrsantan or famously known as "Black Krrsantan" the Wookiee showing up was crazy though, he'd always been a Popular book character but this was his Debut on Screen and many minds were lost seeing him and his slow dramatic entrance as you can imagine 😂 He has had alot of story but I'll try give as brief a rundown as I can of his history to catch you up. Basically in his younger days he was Exiled from his Wookiee tribe on Kashyyyk for breaking a lot of traditions & bringing disgrace to their people and so then ended up leaving his Homeworld. Then got taken in by this Gang/group he came across wandering the galaxy and thought he could find new purpose there but being naive about outsiders he got taken advantage of and they started just using him. See this gang had a whole infamously known Gladiator fighting Arena on their homeworld with tens-of-thousands of spectators that would attend, and Krrsantan being a Wookiee they thought "Hell yeah I bet he can win us all lots of money if we shape him up & toss him in the ring" so they "sponsored" him and he became their Warrior/Gladiator for their little team and was thrown into the pit and fought against other warriors of other gangs/teams and spent many years doing just that. Krrsantan's reputation & fame grew rapidly as he kept winning fights over the years and made his "sponsors" very rich, he then became known as "Black Krrsantan" (which is supposed to be a play on the "Black Knight" Archetype) and some fans & spectators would fly across the Galaxy just to see Black Krrsantan the Arena. But of course eventually his sponsors/team started reaping all the rewards of his success for just themselves and started screwing Krrsantan himself over and began giving him squat & taking him for granted, of course this Angered him. One day after he couldn't take that anymore he managed to escape that whole place because years of experience living that life that can shape you into something incredibly strong & dangerous so he eventually went nuts & killed many on his way out and escaped the Planet leaving that life behind. Then later on became a Mercenary/Bounty Hunter doing a lot of Jobs mostly for Jabba himself and was even hired by Vader at one point. Fun fact his Scar on his face is a Lightsaber slash from a fight he had with Obi Wan while doing a Job for Jabba on Tatooine (It's a bit hard to see in Live Action but it's right above one of his eyes). Anyways Boba definitely knew who he was when he showed up that's why he said "You can bring as many gladiators as you wish but these are not the Death Pits of Duur" The whole "Permission to kill a Hutt" thing is more that because the Hutt Cartel & Families are so connected that if you kill one that's gonna anger the whole system and because of how powerful & influential they are that'd bring devastating consequences. When Fennec says "Need Permission" it's more you gotta make a case to the Hutt Cartel and say "This Hutt has got to go! because of [Reason]" and if they say "Fine go ahead, appreciate the heads up" then yeah sweet you won't make an enemy of the system if you dispatch that Hutt. Technically there was nothing stopping Boba he could have killed them if he wanted right then but he'd have the entire Hutt Cartel coming for him and take over Tatooine. Ziro as you remember was already pretty disgraced by his own people & family because he had dirt on all the Hutt Council so when he died that was basically a weight off their shoulders. Then yeah all the Scenes and exploration of the Tuskens is once again really cool to see, even if the story is a bit hard to follow at times. The group that were operating the Spice Train were the Pyke Syndicate but slightly hard to tell since it's Live Action we did see them in SOLO but that was a while ago now lol. Yeah they look kinda like Fish people without their masks 😂 The Whole like "Lizard dream" thing is suppose to be a rite of passage into their tribe where it guides you to a Sacred tree to where their cultural Gaffi Stick weapons get their branch from. Looking at it there seemed to be some sort of "Break free" Metaphor going on but it was a little hard to dissect tbh, maybe Break free of past or something like that, new life going forward in this tribe maybe? Then the whole dance at the end is more a Traditional Warrior dance than I guess dancing for fun, there's also a bit of Maori Haka influence in there no doubt from Temuera the Actor's Cultural Background, it's also kind of something that brings people of similar culture together so no doubt they're celebrating Boba's integration into their tribe & ways, even if it is a little odd to see Boba Fett of all characters doing this it is pretty neat seeing it play out anyway in my opinion. The way I'm talking about this yeah it's clear I'm much invested into the Flashback parts of the show for now and just enjoying the ride and the story of just that itself, I guess it's easier since when you've already seen a whole show rewatching it you can kinda appreciate & enjoy just the journey a lot more without thinking too much about where it's heading, hopefully that's understandable 😂 Next Episode assuming you've already seen it I'm sure will be an interesting reaction though 😂 It's unfortunately the show's lowest point so hopefully you can make it through and carry on 😂🛵

As soon as he said the line I knew it had to be memed to death 😂 This is definitely what’s bothering me at the minute, I wish they just did all the past stuff first to establish why Boba is the way he is now, plus not a lot is happening in the present anyway, so it only makes the episodes themselves feel bloated. Absolutely loved the design of this Wookies so it’s awesome to hear he actually has a lot of history! And after reading it all, WOW, this dude sounds as tough as Boba Fett and it’s so awesome that he not only worked for Vader but also had a clash with Kenobi. Feels like if I rewatch the OT, I’d see him standing next to Boba getting orders from Vader. Thanks so much for this run down, can’t wait to see more of him now and see where his story will go and if more of his past will be touched on! Love this explanation for Fennec’s line, it’s incredible how much control and power the Hutts have that even if the bounty hunters need permission to go after one of them, and even better that Cad Bane seems to be the only one to do it 😂 Really liked getting such a better look into the Tusken tribes and boy did we get a lot! This one episode did a great job at creating an attachment to them and giving them their own identity compared to other tribes, there’s so much detail in their culture and customs and having Boba integrate into it was such a good way of exploring it all. The Pykes are definitely interesting to see, they’re a great enemy for Boba in this new position but I’m gonna need some time to get used to their designs, loved their Clone Wars look with just how weird there were and now these designs feel so ‘normal’. Having been told what the dance and the dream mean, they’re definitely better than I originally thought, I think they just came off as odd to me as so much is implied and I’m only really starting to understand it after being told what it means. So much of these scenes come from external reasons like including the actor’s culture as inspiration for the Tuskens, that I’m just not sure how well is used here. I think overall though the fact that it’s so difficult to have a conversation between the Tuskens and Boba made me a little lost with what was happening and why on the Tusken’s side of things so I could never fully grasp why they were doing what they were. I totally think rewatching it would be more enjoyable as the information you’ve given already makes the scenes better, though I do think the show could have done more to make this stuff easier to understand so you could get it the first time 😂 Glad to know the next is the lowest as I wasn’t sure if it could get any worse after that 🤣 🤣

clearly the sarlac pit was very traumatic for him. this seems quite clear to me that this was a wake up moment where he is questioning his life to this point. being a bounty hunter directly led him to the sarlac pit. he wanted to escape the tuskens when they were treating him bad, but since he saved the boy he found acceptance. something that he has wanted since he was young. he looked for it from aurra sing but she betrayed him, he never felt like he fit in among his fellow clones and clearly we saw that mandalorians didn't accept him. being a bounty hunter he was respected but he knew any one of them would turn on him just like aurra did. now he found a group of people that all just accepted him the way he is, outsider and all. You asked why didnt' any one oppose him. well the answer is soemthing you have been saying multple times over the last few episodes. because THIS IS TATOOINE! tuskans survive by elevating the tribe over the individual. the black tusken, possibly known as the tuskan warrior, is clearly very important member of the tribe. she is seemingly the second only to the chief, and yet she spends every day teaching him how to use their weapon. because it benefits the tribe. While i looked like he moved into a position of leadership, i don't believe that is the case. until he comes back with the speeders, he was basically and old child as far as the tribe was concerned. but he told the chief i know how we can stop the train. so the chief basically put him in charge of that project because he said he could do it. and boba showed the chief that his faith was well placed. he is still with the tribe because for the first time since his father died he has found unconditional acceptance. note that they dont even make him wear the face mask they all wear. one last thing. when he is talking to the chief he makes a sign and says stop the train. i dont' believe that the motion that he made means "stop the train" the motion that he made seems very similar to the ASL sign for "Stop" the rest of the sentence i believe was just understood from context.

I think for me there should have been far more emphasis on how the pit effect Boba, being a bounty hunter he’s had near death experiences constantly, he even saw he’s father get beheaded when he was a kid so being stuck in a Sarlacc and getting out like this feels rather tame in comparison with how it’s shown. I do however really like what the Tuskens do for him, highlighting this missing piece of himself that he hasn’t been able to get anywhere else and this set up what he’s being trying to do in the present. You make a good point with him not receiving opposition as he’s shown himself to be strong but I also think it lakes relative context, this strength came from him defeating the weird Lizard thing and while impressive, we have no idea how to judge that feet, is it as difficult to defeat it as killing a Bantha or is it more similar to a Crate Dragon. This is the only moment of strength Boba demonstrates to the Tuskens and while it gets the job done, it doesn’t allow the audience to gauge this feet apart from seeing the other Tuskens responses, and from them and how no one opposes him, he might as well have defeated a Crate Dragon if it garners the same respect. I just think I would have preferred to see some more hostility as Boba fought for acceptance from them since Tatooine is so bad, I can only assume that this Lizard thing is a common occurrence on this planet with how bad things are. I do agree with your point at the end here, his position as leader was due to him having the answer and a plan when no one else could do it, it’s clear that the Tuskens were dealing with a new problem so they need new solutions and this provided a good opportunity for Boba to cement his place with them yet I still feel there wasn’t much difference with how the tribe treated Boba before or after this event.
