I believe it was fishmen who kidnapped Hancock and her sisters because it would only make sense due to their island being in the calm belt and you got an all-women pirate crew capable enough to kick your ass easily. but it's only a theory since we don't know at all.

These backstories are brutal. I find it interesting/fitting that all the shadowy figures of the CDs resemble Charloss (the one Luffy punched). We've seen the sister and the father as well but they choose to use his silhouette as being the general "face" of the CDs. With huge smiles no less, looking joyful of what they are doing to people... it's disgusting on so many levels.

Unironically this arc is so packed with emotion and action it is insane. Its like 10 episodes ish and this moment with Boa (along with Sabody) is the show actively taking a much more darker turn, and one that is more of a criticism of real life issues than previously.

Hancock is such a Queen for beeing a badass eventhough she has this traumtic backstory. I love this arc, it always reminds me that the even the "small detour" is so meaningfull and very well written that you don´t mind not seeing the main characters because you are so invested in even the smallest side characters or arc characters. Also, trauma dumping while having boobs out in front of stranger man is wild.

Just catching up after the recent YouTube episode but she has one of the saddest trauma stories so far. Not only did she get kidnapped at 12. Her and her sisters were “entertainment”. It’s so disgustingly vague that the fact they forced her to eat the love love fruit could be easily interpreted as them viewing a child as a sexual object. The celestial dragons are a whole other level of disgusting and despicable beings.
