It's wild to think about the fact that Jimbei got name dropped all the way back at Arlong park

Sanji? On this island? Oh he wouldn't stand a chance. He'd be doomed in the first minute, shot full of arrows and turned to stone all with a smile on his face. He'd disagree but he's so damn lucky he never set foot on this island.

Definitely one of the funniest twists in the story, Hancock and Luffy's dynamic is hilarious and adorable. Sure it's a little weird too since Luffy's only 17 here and Hancock is quite a bit older than him at 29. But I think it's fair since her infatuation is mostly treated as an innocent crush rather than anything more mature/serious. Kinda like how a schoolgirl acts around the boy she likes in her class and doesn't know how to process it. Like you said, I'm sure Hancock's trauma has a lot to do with how strongly she feels towards Luffy.

Right-Hand Man

I very much like the fact that they made Boa Hancock aka "Hammock" fall in love with Luffy. Let's have Hancock, the most beautiful woman in the world, be head over heels for a man who isn't exactly considered to be sought after romantically. Neither in the anime or fans of the show. I have yet to see a reactor that simps for Luffy like they simp for Zoro or Sanji or Mihawk, etc. Although it would be funny to see lol.

Ender

But it is treated as more than an innocent crush on Boas part, they just play it down to that. I still think that is fine though, this after all is just anime and he definetly doesn´t behave like a 17 year old man (anymore?) - Luffy is much more mature in many ways (maybe not on surface level XD) and what it also makes it less awkward is that he has no romantical interest right now, since he got the whole One Piece and pirate king dream in mind right now, there is no place for these kind of things. On top of that these relationships are illegal and morally highly questionable in most countries since it plays with different power dynamics, as an older person has much more life experience and probably know many ways to convince/manipulate a naive younger person to thing they shouldn´t agree on, which is also not given here imo.
