wow, we really just keep on going full steam ahead into season 2 don't we? no letting up. not even a little bit. I loved the way they did this episode with the flashbacks, kind of similar to the previous episode but slightly different. haley's parents warmed my heart and their support was lovely. deb has really disappointed me this episode and the way she spoke to haley, just disrespectful. cannot believe Lucas is home! 🩶

It’s crazy how Nathan is my favorite character now after the start he had. After showing what he was dealing with at home with his parents I can’t help but respect him. He’s genuinely a good kid that was getting turned in a bad direction because of his parents and after turning his situation around at such a young age I gotta put him at the top so far in the show. He easily has had the most character development so far in the show.

Deb also pissed me off in this episode like huh??? You can’t blame Haley for your husband’s heart attack. These things are always unexpected. And she can’t say that when she slept with his freaking brother!!! 😭😭😭 (I get that she’s going through so much, but still… you can’t talk like that to my girl Haley)

Unfortunately, Lucas' new hair does something for me. Maybe it's just because it makes him look older or maybe CMM just genuinely suits it but it's probably my favorite look for him, personally I could be wrong but judging by that hairstyle, this was around the time he started to film for the House of Wax remake. And for those of us who know the lore behind that, ohhhh boy

Watching the recap that was some aggressive judgement from Lucas when he thought Haley had sex before she was married. Yep, it wasn't a dream you two teenagers did get married. "You called as soon as you could", well about that. Deb being angry makes sense, even Deb trying to blame Hayley for it over her son, because parents sometimes prefer not to blame their kid. But the way she was talking to Hayley, also I'm sure a lot of things are to blame for Dan's heart attack not just Deb and Keith, but she's just trying to pass her guilty feelings on to Hayley and Nathan which is not fair. For some reason I forgot that Huey Lewis was Hayley's father. Peyton should have mentioned the letter right away, but to be fair it was only a day and I get where she was coming from, she and Brooke had just started to get along again and she doesn't know what Lucas wrote in the letter, so she's worried it will get in the way of them fixing their friendship. Could you drop the letter on the beach, the wind blows it out of the envelope, the camera zooms in an we read the letter, than you burn it. Deb was lashing out at Hayley and Nathan because of her guilt and trying to pass the blame to them, but I wouldn't necessarily say Keith was lashing out at Lucas, he was just trying to convince himself not to go back because he was worried he wouldn't leave again and coming up with all the reasons he shouldn't go back or didn't want to go back and getting upset because he knew he was going to anyway, but he wasn't angry at Lucas or trying to pass the blame to Lucas or anything like that. I really loved all the flashbacks to show how the wedding happened, Hayley's parents were great, so was Nathan being so calm and certain, even if it was understandable why Hayley was freaking out a little bit, they are still in high school.

Only if Deb wants that though!! 🤣 But like, yeah, I have no sympathy for Dan and think Deb and Keith are hilarious for doing that. And I love that he woke up to the one moment Keith was there hugging Deb. He deserves worse! 🤣

Haley's parents are great! They're so funny, but also so loving! And I love that they didn't just say yes or no, they took the time to consider it and really discuss it with each other. (Also, her dad's name is James James. Jimmy James. Love it!!) We only saw Lucas put one thing on the "Go" column and it was Nathan. And he went back! NATHAN WAS ENOUGH TO MAKE HIM WANNA GO HOME!!! 😭 Plus, his response to Keith asking for one reason he should go back being "Because he's your brother." AAAGH!! Their wedding was beautiful and I love them!! Deb was AWFUL to Nathan and Haley and it breaks my heart. Like, in s1 she was truly trying to be a better mum. But now... 😭 I get she was feeling guilty and overwhelmed, but to treat your son and his wife that way isn't okay. Her not immediately calling 911 however... I'm with her on that 100% 🤣 Your abusive husband is having a heart attack and still has the nerve to threaten you? I say let him die... 🤣 I don't think Keith was wrong at all about what he was saying to Lucas about not wanting to go back. I think he feels bad about sleeping with Deb and was pointing out how awful Dan is to try and alleviate his guilt a bit (I still don't think he did anything wrong personally, but hey...) I totally get Peyton not telling Brooke about the letter right away. Plus, it hadn't even been a day, and she DID tell her. Plus, she didn't read it. It's not like she read it, then kept it to herself for days and then Brooke found it without her telling her about it. She told her that same day, and hadn't read it. I love that they decided not to read it and burnt it. But like, yeah. I wanna know what the damn letter said... I'm SO angry about it still! 🤣
