I was shocked multiple times throughout this episode, some in a good way, others in a bad way. this was one of the most frustrating episodes for me when it came to sookie/Jackson which stinks but it is what it is. I really enjoyed to communication between Rory and lorelai here and respecting of boundaries. lorelai not giving her opinion when Rory asked her not to and then asking if she can say something that Rory might not want to hear in that moment I think was a great way to pose that conversation in a positive and respectful way! 🩶

You drop TWO GG episodes in ONE NIGHT??!! It’s not even Christmas!🎄 😊❤️ you ROCK!!

Ari

omg Jackson and Sookie were so annoying in this episode. I'd have been so angry, if I were Luke or Lorelai. He's doing Sookie a FAVOR and she behaves like that? And Jackson comes in and acts like a horse's ass on top of all that? Hell no.

Ryann Rodkey

RIGHT!? i was horrified with that situation. He stepped in bc of your control problem and lack of care to be prepared and you treat him like that!? NUH uh!

Bruce

I wonder, Ryann: what is your opinion of Mitchum Huntzberger so far?

Flavia Barcellos

Sometimes Sookie and Jackson are just way too much to deal with, honestly. Poor Luke, working for free and putting up with everything just to make Lorelai happy. I seriously love Luke. And I love Paris too! what can I say? She’s my favorite character. The more the show goes on, the more I love her. As for Rory and Logan’s relationship… I’ve watched this show enough times to have had completely different opinions about them over the years. I do like Logan, he’s definitely one of those characters that grows on you, and I think having Matt play him makes the character way more likable than he probably would’ve been with another actor who didn’t have his level of charisma. But you know how it is, this is Gilmore Girls, and ASP loves messing with our opinions all the time. No character in the show is universally loved. I honestly can’t wait to see how you react to the way Rory and Logan’s relationship plays out.

Luke and Sookie aka the rivalry we never knew we needed lololol they had me giggling in this episode 🤭 (but she and Jackson were so ungrateful… it pissed me off so much like why can’t they trust Luke and Lorelai oh my God they were literally trying to help 😐)

Luna

Ugh, I’ll never get over how Paris and Doyle need more screentime. LIKE HELLOOO THEY’RE SO PERFECT TOGETHER 🫶🏻

Luna

RORY LOOKED ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS IN THAT DRESS BY THE WAYYY OH MY GOD I’M OBSESSED WITH MY BELOVED UNDERRATED FASHION ICON 😭❤️

Luna

Iconic episode title btw lol it sums up the whole show perfectly because the Gilmores both have a main character syndrome and a superiority complex 🙈 (imo, they finally met their match here because the Huntzbergers are way worse than them with their powerful, narcissistic, and elitist ways)

Luna

If you ask me, going from barely dating to meeting the parents is… a lot 😬 Rich people are so dramatic sometimes, though. Also, I feel like the way Logan’s parents treated Rory here lowkey reminds me of the way Richard and Emily treated Dean back in the early seasons. The parallels are definitely paralleling, and the Huntzbergers are clearly worse, even if we’re used to the Gilmores by now 👀 Still, it’s so interesting how they flipped the script here. It’s usually Rory’s family who have opinions about her boyfriends, but now we see it happening with someone else’s family toward her. (If I were at that disastrous dinner, I would’ve cried. Rory was way stronger than me lmao.)

Yasemin

OMG your giddiness in the end....so relatable! :)

Yasemin

I know it sounds odd when Logan says that about "marrying", but I think he meant it with regards to their perception, ie, he never brought a girl home before etc.

Yasemin

I think the whole Sookie-plot (and even Jackson appearing at the inn and yelling at Luke, adding "I will kick your ass, that is, if you haven't killed me yet" was more for comedic effect, but yes, it was annoying and out of place. :)

Elizabeth Gates

It's been happening throughout the series, but I think the end of S5 onwards is when I really notice how much higher/cutesy Rory's voice has gotten compared to her S1 voice.

Yasemin

Also, it's kind of surprising indeed that Logan does a full 180 there (becoming her BF etc), but I guess it's convenient for the show...(even if not very realistic lol).

Ryann Rodkey

totally - it just shocked me to have it stated like that so clearly when they've just started dating a day ago 🤣

Ryann Rodkey

totally!! I 100% was getting the fact that it was meant to add some comedy into the episodes but it was one of the few times where it just missed the mark and I didn't find it funny but more ungrateful and controlling! 🩶
