good on sookie for respectfully trying to get lorelai and Rory back into the same room to talk and try to work things out. can I just say - I am loving Rory's hair this season so much. lorelai disappointed me at the end there this episode. we could've just not done that 😂 it was so nice to see lane and Rory back together and I think this episode did a great job of showing that this has caused some strain/damage on other relationships of Rory's as well - not just her relationship with lorelai! 🩶

Lorelai, come oooooon. Rory literally offered you her phone number after she realized you even wanted to talk to her and it was meant to be a sort of olive branch on Rory’s part. But you just made a snide comment about it and dismissed it If I was in Rory’s position, that would really hurt me all over again. Yes, granted, it’s not this huge step forward. But it’s *something* she felt could help get to a better point with her mom and Lorelai dismissed it entirely for the sake of staying stubborn As much as it pains me, I love complicated characters. But ughhhhhh, that doesn’t mean I can’t complain lmao

I love that Lorelai tried to reach out to Rory via the phone call that never went through, but it’s really not Rory’s fault here given the explanation later about how she lost her phone due to the yacht incident. I think we can all see how Lorelai tried to make this about herself again… to the point where she literally stopped the baptism of her best friend’s children (and Jackson, apparently 😅). It’s so crazy to me because she couldn’t even give Sookie this one thing! Why not wait until it was over? Or better yet, why take the children? 😂😭 (Pretty sure that having the children there was to show us how childish she was acting lol.) Even Rory told her they were holding up the service, which was actually pretty mature of her. She also tried to give Lorelai her new number at the end, and it was probably an olive branch (as you said) despite the misunderstanding. The thing is, Lorelai refusing it didn’t sit right with me at all because it looked like she was trying to drive an even bigger wedge between them. She could’ve easily accepted it like a normal person, so it really doesn’t have to be this way. Another instance where her overthinking gets her to self-sabotage, unfortunately 😐

I loved seeing that Rory and Lane scene because it’s been a while since we’ve had a proper moment between our beloved childhood best friends 🥹🫶🏻 It really is interesting how Rory completely cut off Stars Hollow throughout this rift because she probably feels guilty or not deserving of her hometown due to Lorelai telling her that if she were to do this, coming home wouldn’t be an option. Maybe she let that get to her, and it’s so sad how she looks like she’s punishing herself for it. However, this visit helped her fix at least her friendship with Lane by reconnecting with her roots to ground herself. (I especially find it so intriguing that the second Rory and Lorelai stop talking, Lane and Mrs. Kim end up talking again—there has to be at least one working mother-daughter relationship in the show lmao.) I agree about Rory’s hair, by the way!! Her bangs this season are probably my favorite hairstyle she’s ever had. Alexis Bledel is just so pretty 🥰

I set a date pretty quickly after being engaged but for at least a year and a half out, almost 2 years. I couldn't help myself jumping pretty quickly into wedding planning, but at some points I had to take breaks from it.
