I think Miller was infatuated with Julie (not 'in love', more like obsessed), but also he was just upset that he couldn't find her in time to save her. He wanted to solve the case but also rescue her (a victim). He's a hard-ass but also a good person and a good detective. I do love the Miller / Holden group team up!

The animal on the wheel was a hamster, but it was just a hidey spot for whatever data she would get.

I'm remembering how good this show is, and there is still so much more to come. You guys have no idea. Can't wait.

I'm seriously thinking of re watching this show again because of how amazing it is, so nice to see other people react to it cause it feels like it's a bit under the radar.

Yep that what I believe too. He got the case of literally the daughter of the richest man in the system so I would imagine he already had an idea who she was. Then as he learned more and more about her that picture turned out to be the polar opposite of who she was. I think he liked and respected her for the choices she made and really tried his best to save her because she was worth saving, an actual good human being. A very high profile girl from Earth who was sticking up for the belt and not as a PR stunt but becsaue thats who she was. Phenomenal portrayal by Thomas Jane he really did justice to that character.

@Pudgey Good pickup on the hat, it's a very important detail. Without that it would easy to assume that it was the real Miller. Julie's dad is Jules-Pierre Mao, quite possibly the richest man of the system with dozens of mega-companies on his payroll doing all kinds of stuff. None of the following contains spoilers, all of this has been mentioned already. The OPA used to be a sort of worker's union for the people working in the belt and later evolved into a sort of political entity representing the belters. It's not unified by any means, there are several different factions making up the bulk, some of which are doing legitimate work like Fred Johnson on Tycho Station other are basically just pirates and thugs. The blue goo was found on Phoebe ( a moon of Saturn ) in the ice tunnels which was a research station run by Protogen ( a corporation belongs to JPM, Julie's dad ) and was bringing a sample to Eros where Protogen already set up their little experiment. That's why they recruited the gangs from Ceres as a security force to infest everyone and throw them into those chambers to irradiate them. This is as far as I go with this, the rest is still to come. It was just a coincidence that Julie ended up on Eros becasue the Anubis clearly failed, the sample got out of containment and infected everyone so without Julie all of this would have failed. When Alex admired the "sweet parking job" when they found the Anubis it turned out it was Julie who parked the ship there before shutting the reactor down and leaving on the shuttle. Really cool storylines coming together nicely so everyone ends up on Eros for the season finale. :)

God this show is so good.
