Claire

Your take on Shane is crazyyyyyyy

Kyle White

The constant shane glaze is insane bro 🤣😂

Sahae

ikr looool

Katieee120

At this point in the season, the Shane glaze is wild!! get it he's a bad ass & Jon Bernthal plays him very well but he is not a good guy and his decisions are NOT good.. He held a gun on his best friend He shot a man in cold blood, left him for dead and on top of that he lied about it.

pilbil

genuine question for shane fans: what does he do? like he doesnt go on runs, he doesnt solve problems, he doesnt hunt, he doesnt do chores. im genuinely curious. atp of the show shane created more problems than he solved

pilbil

just rmb: this is a show. shane was written specifically to be a character that the audience has mixed feelings on. liking a fictional character isnt an indictment on them

Blake Johnson

Lol he didn't try to throw the alcohol, he reached for his gun.

pilbil

I think shane would be more digestible if he regularly did things for the GROUP. He's not done that for the entire time hes been on the show. so most ppl just think hes a dick obsessed with carl and lori. If you look at all the other men of the group they all regularly do chores and stuff for the other group. shane genuinely does nothing tho. hes done nothing productive since he traded Otis' life for Carls. and is that even productive?

Crisp

Starting to think these shane haters have an obsession, it is insane, sure, shane is not good, I did not like him myself at this point but good lord, the hatred people have is actually deranged.

Facundo Fernandez

Hell yeah! I'm loving your twd reactions. Don't listen to the Rick and Daryl meat riders, it's soooo easy to just be on those two side that it would be actually boring to watch you guys hate on Shane like 99% of the rest of the viewers, so it's kinda refreshing. Keep it coming!

Debbie

Please tell me Pudgey that you weren't serious when you said you liked Dave!! Girl, these guys (both of them) were BIG trouble!! Rick 100% had to kill these guys! They wanted to take over the farm.

Debbie

I also don't see the obsession y'all have with Shane.

Debbie

Exactly!!!

Lane Senter

In the bar, the dude put his gun on the counter and went for it, they both pulled their guns on Rick, so that isn’t really anything huge for him.

Colton

The schizo Shane glazing is crazy, its a good character though.

BigTim86

“Loud noises”

Frank

Well he did train the entire group on how to handle guns. Pretty necessary skill, if not, the most important skill you can have in this world. He did go on the run to save Carl. Which while you guys don't like the decision he made, is the only reason Carl is alive. He lead the group through Atlanta and to relative safety before Rick even got to the group. Again the ONLY reason Rick's family or the group for that matter is alive at all. Especially, since Daryl, who was the only other person capable of handling themselves, at that point was a conceded, prick, hillbilly, loner who I doubt very seriously would have blinked an eye at leaving with his brother at the first glimpse of a lost cause situation should the group have encountered one. And to this point pretty much every decision Shane has made or voiced has been the correct, cold perhaps but correct, decision for the group safety. He just solved the Sophia problem lol. And would have weeks ago had the group not listened to Rick. He solved the Carl dying problem multiple times. He's about to solve another problem, yet again, in the next episode. Hell he is disposing of a truckload of rotten corpses in this very episode WITH and FOR the group. Talk about a chore. I don't see Carol or Daryl or Carl or Lori or Dale out there doing it. Now let me ask the same of you for Rick. Don't give me generic, Rick's a good person, BS examples. Give specific decisions he's made and the "chores" he's done (and ones that he has done and Shane has not. So looking for Sophia, they've both done that). And for the record he has some. I am just curious what you will throw out there and if you will be objective or if it is simply a morality argument. Which fair enough if it is, but just be transparent about that and understand that the correct decision for group safety and the moral decision are very rarely the same.

Jayde.tash

I was initially in the “hate Shane” group but I think after watching their reactions so far I’m understanding a bit more why people like him. You have to remember that he was basically Rick for those first few weeks before Rick came in and took over. Shane got people out, was the defence, seemed to organise things, most people listened to him because of his “authority” then when Rick came in he just took over and had to go down a few pegs not only loosing his authority but his “woman” and “son” (I know they aren’t his). I think people like him as well because he was able to do that mental switch to ‘this is how it is now’. Which I think the viewers get to that understanding before the other characters like Lori, Rick, Hershel etc. they struggle a lot with having to kill walkers and people. Where for Shane its easy. I know myself I was very much like who cares just kill them it’s not a big deal. So I think people like how Shane is proactive in his thinking. I do agree though that he wasn’t doing much from when Rick came back to now. I think they should have made him be a more active contributor to the group. But really the same could be said for Dale. He does nothing. Lori and Carol do the washing/cooking etc, Glenn does the runs, Rick, Shane and sort of Andrea do the defence and Daryl does hunting/defence. I do still think he’s a shit guy and not good. But I don’t completely hate him.

macc61

Yes but the real reason they hate shane has not aired yet. So they are using a future event to justify hating him now.

KP

You guys are very lenient with Shane lol he doesn’t deserve it

DominaZeta

I fear you may still be in your "sweet summer children" phase of TWD if you thought those guys who came into the bar were anything but a major threat! The smart one was obviously fishing for info on what resources they had (and where) so they could take them. The dumb one didn't just have "bad manners", he was trying to intimidate Rick, Glenn & Hershel with his pathetic tough guy act. Also, the slick talker reached for his gun (not the drink) but, thankfully, Rick was much faster.

Frank

That is a fair nuanced analysis, Jayde. Breath of fresh air honestly. I don't disagree with much at all. Maybe slightly with he hasn't done much for the group since Rick got there. I'd argue he's done as much or more than Dale, Rick, Andrea, or T Dog for sure. I will say the grease on the gears of the group I think everyone can agree on is Glenn. That group would be dead af without Glenn. Dude is one hardworking fool and definitely pulls his weight + about 100 tons more and without complaint. he's the dependable guy every group needs.

macc61

He trained Andrea. went on a search with her killing many wakers. He defended Carol by warning her abusive husband. He then showed Herschal that his family were really not human anymore.

T.C.Bullock

Nebraska is nice btw🙂

AzKayla .

ive hated him since ep 1 and I think most people did too especially after the last episode so idk what your talking about

Jarrica Hennigan

Now I’m just watching to see how delusional you 2 are over Shane at this point😂😂

KP

For me, once I saw him almost r*pe Lori he is the villain. Enjoyable to watch him play the character but I don’t support his behavior after that. The problem is he has a hard time controlling himself. Later on down the line that would be horrible for the groups safety.

Josh Ashford

I never hated him but that's just because villainous characters are my favourites in any show lol, Joffrey and Cercei were 2 of my favs in GoT

Josh Ashford

Nothing wrong with liking a character, Shane is an amazingly written character with an awesome actor, of course people are liking him

c-evinrude

That not the problem! For me at least. I think a lot of us that does not like Shane DO like the character! He is interesting as hell. For me the problem is that they do not have a nuanced look on what he says and does, and just dismiss everybody else that have an interaction with him. I also remember thinking Shane had some good points the first time i watched, but i didnt justify EVERYTHING he did. Thats what annoys the shit out of me.

c-evinrude

Its funny when Shane says that Dale couldn’t pull the trigger. He couldn’t pull the trigger when Sophia came out of the barn …

Sophia

I will say I like the contrast

Demented Avenger

yup. Turns out Shane CAN'T do what needs to be done when it's hard.

Demented Avenger

Here is some of that flawless writing with Lori going out to find Rick for absolutely no reason. She has a son and a baby on the way. Why do they make her so stupid?

Demented Avenger

Hating Shane for me came from him pointing a gun at his best friend. I could even justify him killing Otis to a point, but fantasizing about kiling his best friend? You're crazy if you like Shane.

Dogman

Rick didnt just kill that guy out of the blue, the dude went for his gun first and Rick was quicker to the draw

DominaZeta

I know. I always felt bad for the actress... she probably read the script and went: "Lori does what, now? Alrighty." Insert eye roll here.

Demented Avenger

They certainly like making the women look dumb, helpless, or irrational in the early seasons. Thankfully that changes later on.

Synthetic_CK

It's easy to say Shane was right AFTER knowing she was dead. It was the harder choice to stay and search when they didn't know for a fact yet.

Synthetic_CK

Would Shane be "getting shit done" if you were the one he shot and left as bait?

Vahid rahimian

Why are you guys acting like Dale’s wrong to accuse Shane? We literally saw Shane do exactly what he’s accusing him of! 😅

Lores

GEE I wonder why

Johnny_Raincloud

Ehhh...there are some silly and helpless women in the world. As there are men....they just happen to be broads in Rick's group. Andrea stepped up these past episodes though. More realistic

Johnny_Raincloud

You two....are some silly geese ya know that? 😂

Kelsey

I mean he's done plenty to justify being hated up to this point - the cdc scene with Lori pissed me off enough to want his character gone. Then throw in his other shenanigans on top of that

pilbil

heres my thing about "saving carl" why on earth is carl so important to this group that killing otis is considered a plus? a life was simply traded for another life. and if we think simply about what's best for the group, otis wouldve been way more beneficial and productive than a child. which is obviously a cruel thing to say, but i don't get this whole "do whatever's necessary to ensure the group is protected" and then choosing to kill a man who couldve protected the group quite well. we saw that otis had survival skills, what skills does carl have? the only reason ppl even think this is a positive thing is bc Carl is a child, which is fine. but lets stop posturing the saving of carl as some net positive for the whole group, its not. And i think rick is as much as a dingus as shane. all im saying is, this man isnt some major benefit to the group at all. sure he led them out of ATL, WHAT NOW? What benefit has he brought to the group since then? he hasnt made them any more or less safer now that the barn is empty. he hasnt done much all of season 2 (neither has rick). On top of this, mans is an attempted rapist and pulled a gun on his best friend.

pilbil

okay cool he was great in atlanta when the group first got together. but what since? Most of these good deeds have happened off camera. from what we've seen since rick has gotten back, can we honestly say that he's any more helpful than darryl? Glenn? hell Andrea? and I don't hate shane (not as much as you know who) but past the basic exposition that the writers were able to do with shane, he's not done much for me to understand why he has any fans.

Jay

Your guys' judge of character is wild 😂

Jay Nikki

I can't wait for you guys to truly be on Rick's side. He has his flaws but he is one helll of strong leader.

J Osceola

Jesus all the Shane glazing even after he murdered Otis and contemplated shooting Rick so he could keep Lori is wild LOL

J Osceola

They are according to you riding Daryls meat as much as you are inhaling Shanes meat. LOL

Crispy

shane is right about alot of things, just sucks he has jealously and a bunch of other demons inside of him

Kristy Ranic

I definitely feel Spartan and Pudgy about their views on Shane at this point (which seems to be quite controversial lol). My initial impressions were that he adjusted to this world very quickly, especially having been apart of it from the very start. He has made the tough calls and decisions, and pretty much has been spot on with all of them. But not only at the farm, but from the very start, including having to leave his best friend in the hospital and who knows what else in between leaving Rick and when Rick showed up! What I don't support however, are his dealings with Lori and how thats transpired. But yeah, at this point Shane is a badass lol I felt bad for Otis in that situation but at the same time, Shane needed to ensure he made it back for the sake of Carl, he couldnt rely on Otis....he did what he had to do imo to ensure that Carl lived and Carl DID live - thats thanks to Shane.

Kristy Ranic

Also, Rick's draw of his gun with those two guys was so quick 😳 he's a cowboy fr hahaha I've replayed that part so many times!! Great respect for Rick right there 🙏 i loved how you guys talked about how it was lucky Rick made the decision to go into town, otherwise Hershal would've been by himself and very vulnerable, who knows how that situation would've gone down! I'm excited for you guys to see all the character developments. Loving your reactions ❤️

Stefaan De Wasch

Emily Kinney who plays Beth, Maggie's sister, released a music album while TWD was airing and got some flack because she wrote a song about a cheating boyfriend and people tought she was too young to having a boyfriend... Noone realized that though she plays a 16 year old girl on the show she was actually 26 at the time of filming. 4 years older than her on screen older sister Maggie. LOL

Paynekiller96

"There's a lot of bias being flown around" ... hmmm you don't say

Vanessa Navarro

I disagree about the barn. If he didn't agree, he should have left. They are guests there and need to respect the rules or leave.

Vanessa Campbell

Yall simping for Shane is killing me…. They arent accusations if they actually happened. Everything dale is saying is true

Bradley Lovehart

lol their love for shane is crazy here but im here for this eye opening journey for them because they have no idea the type of betrayals they are in for

Becca

I get the Shane love- he isn’t a bad guy. I’ll be honest- if I had to take someone out to save my child’s life… It’s just the Lori thing. If he could just get away from her for a while, I think his head would straighten out.

hypocritex

The Shane love is WILD.. Even if he is right in principle.. RICK knows there is a way of doing things.. And if Shane thinks Rick isnt cut out for this world.. oof. Man..

hypocritex

Becca... Shane a good guy!? LMAO. Sure. He would have raped Lori if she didn't fight back in the CDC. Or we just forgetting that. Nevermind his desire to see Rick dead.

hypocritex

Doing the right thing isn't sleeping with your "best friends" wife after he dies. I don't care if she wanted it or not. Neither of them are good people. Shane was obviously coveting her well before the Walkers came about. What kind of friend is that? There is a code of decency a man should live by.. He doesn't have it.. He should have at least waited a RESPECTABLE amount of time. And shes no better.

hypocritex

He understands Nuance WAY better then Shane. Which makes him a more effective leader. Shane would have turned into a Negan or Governor.

hypocritex

THANK YOU! hindsight. SMH.

pilbil

shane tried to rape lori... hes a bad guy. and its okay to say that. he has some great qualities, that doesnt make him a good person

pilbil

im just curious... you dont think it was a bad idea to open a barn full of walkers on to a group of living people?? you don't think it was a bad idea to trek over a hundred miles of walkers just to end up at the overrun ft. benning? you don't think it was a bad idea to stay at the quarry and set up "tin cans"? this man is very often wrong.

pilbil

im sorry but this whole notion that killing otis because it saved carl is honestly bullshit. a life for a life isn't SAVING anyone. thats just a trade. and if we are going to be honest.... carl isn't a fair trade over a GROWN ASS MAN. if shane was so focused on helping the group, he would make decisions BEST for the group. but no, he
