Very surprised you two thought this was one of the weaker finales, IMO it is best or second best to season 2 up to this point. Great reaction though!

I LOVE that you guys picked up on all the belongings that had been stolen, and also that Pudgey spied the bones on the ground, but then forgot about them when you got to the commentary. I loved this finale but the 6, almost 7, month wait for the Season 5 debut was excruciating!!!

Interesting that you guys didn't like this as much as previous finales, it might be my favorite one so far. Not as much action as previous ones but the storytelling is excellent to me. Especially the way it plays out with the flashbacks and furthering Carl and Michonne as characters. Rick's Mike Tyson moment is iconic.

Our survivors coming together, is the very, very beginning of a much larger storyline. It takes a little while to get there, but it's my favorite time in this universe.

Just an FYI, we weren’t waiting a year or 2 after finales. 8 episodes in the fall and 8 in the spring every year. Season finales ended in April, new premiere in October, so 6 months of waiting

I think he was just talking about the last scene being weak, which tbf, is pretty cheesy. AMC should've just allowed the show to say Fuck every now and then.

I agree with Pudgey. Rick turning into a walker ripping Joe's neck out was NEXT level. Maybe Spartan is getting a bit desensitized...

I think you guys should go back and rewatch season 1 episode 1 -3 to just really see how different the characters are now. Yes it’s a “weaker” finale in terms of not much crazy stuff happening but the development of these characters is the main point of the show. Rick especially was refusing to be violent trying to lock that part away of himself and now he’s forced back into in the most brutal way but you can really see the absolute cold badass character he truely is. Daryl’s loyalty and family he’s built for himself.. Michone too in a way. All the characters and what they’ve been through is really pivotal and I think personally this season isn’t about the threat of walkers it’s about the threat of people and the threat of the new world on your own morals etc. that’s eclipsing the walkers now.

I always thought it was GOT that started to desensitize us, but I totally forgot all the stuff that happens in Walking Dead. I saw that part where Rick bites his neck and I thought how that really cemented how the humans are also the walking dead. Also, I’m with Spartan, I ain’t trusting nobody XD

We tried to warn y’all to watch the uncensored version of this episode where at the end Rick says “they’re fucking with the wrong people”. It hits SO much harder the way Andrew Lincoln delivered it (esp after highlighting how badass all the survivors are). Too bad y’all didn’t catch that.
