This is such a beautiful episode. It expertly ties together several threads of the plot and character paths, reveals important details, shows us an entirely new perspective, and delivers all of that within a heartbreakingly tragic love story. The title of the episode (Kiksuya) is a Lakota word that means “remember.” Akecheta is remembering his story, and also telling it to Maeve and asking her to remember too.

During this episode, Akecheta wasn't talking to the daughter he was talking to Maeve throughout the whole thing using the daughter's "mesh network", the only time he's talking to the daughter is when he's talking in English which is only a few sentences throughout the episode

Yesss i love this episode. It wrapped up so many questions i had during the airing of the first 2 seasons. And i love that you two are bright enough to understand all the subtle details and things a lot of reactors completely missed, or never even knew to question in the first place. And it was nice to get this light before all the darkness to come! Thank you guys for sticking with the show. People have opinions on the different seasons but there are always brilliant episodes in each one of the seasons that makes it all worth it. Its such a shame we never got the final season. Thanks HBO. Thanks Zaslav….not.
