I always wished Beth got farther 😭😭

Ludus Aurea

Yep big sad, RIP. Will watch in like a half hour hopefully when works over. Beth wasn't in the comic to begin with but I thought she was a good addition to the show. Hershels kids in the comic sucked anyway. I wish I could say more without spoiling but we;ve got a few weeks for the rest of the season. Season 4 - 5 test our crew, a lot, but it's why 4 - 6 are so good.

Dustin Mikkelsen

The story goes that the actress that plays Beth wanted to start her singing career, so she asked to be killed off. I don't know if that's been officially confirmed, but yeah.

Al

why get so defensive towards Pudgey so often? Nothing wrong with disagreement as no one is always right.

Shawn Gordian

This death always seems like something they did for shock value to me. Since Beth didnt exist in the comics I think the writers and producers used her character's death as pure shock value. It was a character that didnt have a history within the comics, so she could more easily be killed off as opposed to some of the others.

Sam

Why did she stab her smh

Darius

"Can't go back Bob"

spartanandpudgey

its not serious haha, we have a competitive banter centred relationship and give each other shit all the time. we dont take it seriously.

Storm

I remember right after this episode aired on the east coast one of the official TWD pages posted a picture of Daryl carrying Beth out and the west coast was PISSED. It’s still one of the biggest spoilers I’ve seen blatantly dropped by the source- someone lost their job that day for sure 🙈😂 Hated how they finally gave Beth some purpose this season only to rip her away from us! SAD!

Pushindazeez

Yes, episode 8 was always the mid-season finale. And omg, I bawled my eyes out too, when Daryl cries we all cry!

The_Paige_Master

I don’t remember this, I feel like when The Talking Dead was on, Emily (Beth) seemed genuinely upset and sad that they decided to kill her off.

Dustin Mikkelsen

Actually, I randomly read an interview today for some reason on Facebook, and the actress said she only found out her character was killed off the day before, and was stunned ... maybe I seen some studio propaganda back in the day? I swear, Facebook is spying on us lol.

Tyson O'Connor

“You’re gonna miss me so bad when I’m gone Daryl Dixon” - Beth s4 ep12 :(

The Hornet

The police arch was definitely the weakest storyline between s1-s7. I see Beth's death as the first real mistake from the writers to cause the inevitable downfall of the show.

Kai

RIP Beth😔 Daryl and Maggie’s reactions wreck me every time. Like my soul feels it when they are grieving. I’ve spoken multiple times about how great Norman Reedus is, but Lauren Cohan is such an amazing underrated actress ✨✨

connie

Rip my girl Beth 😭 I remember when I first saw it, I was sobbing

beth

Yeah, I don't think that's it. I saw her do a show at Eddie's Attic while the show was still going on. She could easily have done both. The writers started messing up at this point. Beth's death was dumb and out of character to randomly stab Dawn. The trade was done. The fact that they all even stopped to discuss the possibility of Noah staying was dumb.

Demented Avenger

The stupidest f-ing death in this show. Makes no sense.

Demented Avenger

agreed. made no sense. even from a logistical standpoint.

Anaya Imari

One of the biggest tropes I hate is building great character development just to kill the character off. This was the first biggest mistake they’ve made to me in the tv series. It was so unnecessary.

Julien

ACAB. Periodtttt

Sonya Byrd

I felt Beth sacrificed herself so that "Everybody Hates Chris" dude could be set free. She wanted to die (recall her slitting her wrist) and was just hanging on but maybe found purpose in that moment. Like, I get it, this is why I'm still alive to help set (dude) free. And also maybe she gets the woman is gone-gone and so nothing is going to stop her other than death. I dunno, comments below say she wanted out of the contract to pursue singing so.. coulda been as simple as that. LOL

Katie

I was about to comment about this to see if anyone else remembered that 😂 I opened facebook for a second literally before watching the episode and just hit with RIP Beth. Whole family was pissed lol

xxtccyunno

yeah ts jss left me so mad nothing made me more mad other than the fact theres nothing tht can be done . you cant shoot dawn cause shes already dead u cant bring beth back . ts is jss sickening

TwoTon3

Dreamknight942
