This was one of the most beautifully shot episodes in the series and I remembered I bawled my eyes out watching this for the first time. I was sad to see him go, but I did get to meet Chad Coleman right before this episode aired and he was the sweetest man.

Those weren't your typical season 5 zombies which are weak and weathered, those were season 1/2 zombies with a bit more strength and endurance since they haven't been dead for long.

Oh shit I forgot they killed Tyrese immediately after Beth. If it makes you feel any better, there aren’t any more emotionally devastating episodes left in this season. Definitely some deaths though.

Keep in mind everyone is already infected. Getting bitten or not only kills you faster because of the chance of other germs and blood loss etc that would kill you normally. The rule of cutting off the bite never made any sense and it’s best not to apply logic to it.

We had a couple of months off in between these episodes when they originally aired, and I swear it did not feel quite so jarring at the time as it did watching these reactions!

30:50 One thing to keep in mind is how often they have been around weapons firing without any ear protection. At this point, they probably all have hearing loss, which sucks in a world where you need to hear the zombie behind you.

This show has always hammered home that NO ONE in this world is safe. Ever. This was one of the most beautifully filmed, written and directed episodes. And so emotional, I bawled my eyes out. Also the voice on the radio is Andrew Lincoln's (Rick) real voice and British accent.

Similar to Dale, Tyrese was simply not meant to live in a world this ugly and cruel. That he survived this long was a bit of an epiphany. He was a truly decent man much like Dale but could not deal with the horrors of this new world. RIP Tyrese

its definitely a critique of the show that when non-season 1 characters get development, they will likely die within 5-10 episodes.

Having another death so soon after Beth was frustrating. Not to mention Tyreese is awesome and should not have died like this. He deserved a lot better. This season, for me, is when the show really starts to dip in quality.

Im glad u guys are enjoying season 5. This season in particular is incredibly bleak - the entire feel of everyone just being on the road is quite something. To me this is very much peak TWD, extending to and including season 6.

I’m assuming the twins had a “Jack and Jill” style bathroom, so maybe the bedroom door was closed but not the shared bathroom door so the other twin came in. Also I hope you didn’t miss the “Ws” carved in the walkers heads, plus the “wolves not far” written on the walls in Noah’s community.
