DRIP DROP

Double drop. Keep your guys heads up you got this ❤️

KaosDragon

THANK YOU for releasing season 6x16 and season 7x1 at the same time, you both are the BEST!!! I can't wait to watch these episodes with you, and more Walking Dead in the future!!!!!

A L

Walking Dead's Red Wedding episode that every reaction fan looks forward to.

Sko0lboy G

Awww yes, you finally get to share our pain….I mean enjoyment.

Nathan Jasper

"You can blink, you can breathe, you can cry... Hell, you're all gonna be doing that." Welcome to the new world order. We're just getting started.

Slow Shadow

Ah, you guys just fulfilled the reaction channel trifecta, breaking bad ozymandias, game of thrones red wedding and now the walking Dead: the day will when you won't be. Congrats 😅 Also the name come from Docter Jenner from season 1 at the CDC when he let the group go before the building explodes Rick says we are thankful, doctor jenner says: the day will come you wont be 😞 and here we are.

Ismail Chettfour

Fun fact: the actor for Negan is also the voice actor for Conquest in Invincible

Emilio

Hope you guys are ok, it's a tough watch but unfortunately the show wants to remind you that anyone can die, no matter how loved they are. Steven Yeun, asked the studio to make sure he died like this btw, he did not want it going to anyone else knowing how significant his death was in the comics this way. First time I read it (and then watched it years later) left me feeling empty for weeks. Glenn was literally one of the most beloved characters to come from this show.

Bri Gioia

Glenn dying here is comic book accurate.

Keelan Davidson

Don’t worry. Glenn got his revenge in invincible 🤣 negan was conquest

James Waters

This is one of my favourite TV episodes ever. It's as brutal as it should be, and in my view with just over an hour of screen time it solidifies Negan as an all timer. Tragic yes, traumatic yes, but you'll never forget it.

Katie

Glenn’s death is never easy. He is such a beloved character. So brutal 😢 I had it spoiled for me beforehand because of a post of the comics so I couldn’t imagine how y’all are feeling with it out of no where. Back in the day watching the season premiere was such a tease how they made us think they were changing things up for that minute basically 😅 Also “fun” fact Denise’s crossbow death was actually Abraham’s in the comic

Pushindazeez

Did you notice the title...Dr Jenner told Rick in Season 1 Ep 6 -the day will come when you won't be...

jxnstxnx1

Nobody was ready. This one hurts with every watch.

Buğrahan Bilaloğlu

A LOT OF PEOPLE quit watching after this episode, sucks to be them they missed arguably the best character of the show, people think show goes down after here but IMO it peaks even more

Buğrahan Bilaloğlu

Yea and unless you guys missed the episode is called The Day Will Come When You Won't Be, it was what Dr Jenner said at season 1 finale to Rick when he said he was grateful. The day has come

Buğrahan Bilaloğlu

Negan is pretty reasonable if you consider how many of his guys got killed by our group, killing only one and then another after daryl fucks up is reaaaaally reasonable i would say

KaosDragon

YESSS i think so too!! I absolutely LOVE season 9 of the Walking Dead, as well as some of the spin offs. (lik ngl im a sucker for the first two seasons of Fear The Walking Dead and kinda hope S&P would try watching it, as well as the Ones Who Live🫣, etc)

Florentino Rios

I would totally understand if you guys skip season 7&8

Allison M Killen

So grateful yall double dropped this! And it's my day off work! Slay!

Florentino Rios

Now you understand why millions of fans stopped watching the show during this season. Myself included

Pushindazeez

I regularly rewatch the first 4-5 seasons but this is the first time I've rewatches this episode and it left me feeling just as sick. It will be the last time I watch it.

Golladan

This episode was just torture porn.

Pushindazeez

Honestly, this is where the show lost it's heart and soul. There were a few good episodes in upcoming seasons but it was more of a chore to watch than enjoyment.

Oliver

Delete that

Jon Emmerson

I have never clicked on any video quicker than this one. Been waiting so long for you to get to this episode. Incredible reactions and incredible episode.

z87kl

i dont think ive ever seen spartan so disgusted

Pushindazeez

Nope, that's my personal feelings and was obviously shared going by the drastic drop in ratings and viewership in the coming seasons.

Pushindazeez

Exactly! It went way over the line.

bbz

well, goddammit... can we just get 7x2 while we're here lmao (jk.. or is it??)

Pushindazeez

I agree that the first three seasons of Fear were so good!

Jonathan

I did initially stop watching, but started up again a few years later when the series finished. It's definitely worth finishing, but yeah, this episode was painful.

James Waters

When you have it on the opening of the video and then immediately skip to after the episodes done, the before and after of your faces is hilarious, looks like me before and after a ten hour shift

Lakey29

i mean the people that stopped watching missed arguably the best character in the show

Lakey29

if you think about how many people that ricks group killed negan was actually very reasonable here

Becca

& that is why the show ended here for me. never watched beyond this episode.. never will hahaha.

Jake DB

"I like feeling not dead inside." Yeah, we all did.... and then The Walking Dead was born XD lol

AkiZzu

Hot diggity dog, my boi Negan is finally here. Spartan in 6x3: “I can’t believe what a horrendous death Glenn got.” Negan: Hold my Lucille. And no, Pudgey… 6x3 wasn’t the episode we’d been waiting for. This one was it. My favorite season has officially begun

james .

Your gunna watch the rest with us 😂

James Waters

I don't think reasonable is the right word, I mean to be honest you can argue Rick's group brought it on themselves but when you think about the why and the how, they did it to try and get ahead in a conflict they knew was coming, against people they knew had already brutally killed others, and they attempted to do it in a way that reduced suffering and trauma, cold and calculated yes but not cruel. Negan relished it, he took his time, he made Glenn suffer, and his motive wasn't protection or justice, it was pure power and control over this group. But in terms of numbers I understand the view

Jonathan

Yeah, I did stop watching the weekly episodes after this, but I returned to the show later to finish it up and I’m glad I did. Even during the weaker seasons it’s worth watching as the characters are still entertaining and well written.

EnVy316LeGeNd

I ORIGINALLY QUIT WATCHING HERE, FOR YEARS. I've since watched it multiple times but still hate most episode after Neagan. i like the actor but i just what happens

Jonathan

That’s absolutely insane. You either stop watching entirely, or watch everything. They’d lose all emotional attachment to the show if they skipped ahead two seasons.

Josh M

Almost 10 years later and it still hurts. This episode is probably the most shaken I've ever felt watching a show. The red wedding comes close, but the brutality of this episode is unmatched. The fact that they can literally make you think the main character might die at any moment is crazy. Phenomenal premiere. You guys will probably hear a lot about the rest of S7 and S8, and I won't act like they're anywhere near as good as 1-6, but IMO if you love the characters as much as I do it's worth getting through some rough patches to experience the rest of the show's high points (and there are still MANY). I say that because a lot of viewers trickled out after this one.

Makeeba

Really appreciate the double drop - I agree , you guys will need X amount of time to recover from this one. I dont think any of us will fully tbh. Currently rewatching GOT through your reactions and in comparison, i found this worse than the red wedding . Without a doubt, unforgettable and tragic too but I think the suspense build up in this one, everything leading up to it and the way Abe and Glenn went out... too horrible. I think theres something about broadcasting a fake death on a character only to bring them back just to officially kill them off that messed with me for a while * Glenns foreshadowing encountering a bat back in 5x1 makes this more painful knowing what we now all know :(

Elliot

I was just pissed those 2 got killed. Besides Darryl and Rick, any of the others wouldnt bother me as much. Of course Negan and more accurately the writers knew that. Took out a couple of loved characters.

Elliot

Love him or probably hate him, what an amazing, believable acting performance by Negan.

Natalie-Anne

Here we are 🥲 this is where I quit watching back in the day when it aired. Glenn was my favourite. Seeing him go like that was too much 💔💔

Natalie-Anne

I did end up finishing it all but this is the second time I’ve watched this episode and it stings just as much as the first time 😭

Natalie-Anne

You have to continue!! I was the same I quit back when this aired but a few years back I watched it all and it’s great even the slow parts are still enjoyable ❤️

Elliot

I was the opposite. I kept watching as I was looking forward to seeing our team win as they always do and how they would do it, or would they just flee them. And hopefully seeing Rick getting revenge on Negan etc.

Robert Chin

Abraham and Glenn 💔💔💔

rachel pelfrey

i quit watching here too for years. then i finished the whole show last year for the first time. Glad I did. This episode is not just a death, it's the utter demoralization of our entire group. The problem I had was not that death is a certainty (we already know this in TWD by this point) it's that we lost so many beloved characters that made the show so worthwhile, that made me care and feel something. It starts to feel like what's the point in watching? The first couple seasons put a lot of work into building amazing characters and i never felt like they did that again. However, I am not at all sorry that i finished the show, but I get it if you guys are done

Dana N

For me, this is the worse episode to watch.

007Angelo

Spartan & Pudgey, to answer your question. That whole Nicholas getting Glenn killed this was the absolutely monumentally stupid idea of season 6's show runner. The fan base at that time chastised everyone at AMC for it. Especially those of us that read the source material and knew that Glenn died the way you just saw. We were sick and tired of just how much AMC had deviated from the source. So that's the real reason Glenn was brought back. As way to make it up to the fans. Because they saw a huge drop in viewers after Glenn supposedly died the 1st time. As disgusted as we all were that Glenn had died that way, we all felt, that if you're going to do this adaptation. Then you have to do it right. Don't pull any punches. Respect that the fans will truly respect an honest effort to remain faithful to the source material. So, sorry if you think we're all sick in head to want to see this again. I just wanted to see your reactions to seeing this series. Watching those deaths again , made me sad all over again. But it had to be right, or not at all. Game of thrones fans would say the same about the red wedding. Sorry for the super long text. Hope you guys continue the series. You can't have good without the bad. That pretty much sums up walking dead.

Elora D. Dragneel

Pretending Glenn had died by the dumpster was so much easier knowing he was gonna make a comeback eps later. His actual death is just so horrific. 💔 And Abraham was holding his fingers up in the "peace" sign he always did to Sasha at the very end 😭💔 Rest in peace brothers Glenn and Abraham. Thanks for suffering through this with us on camera.

Pushindazeez

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is an amazing actor and the casting was brilliant, but I never stopped hating and being annoyed by the Negan character.

BridgesNotBurned

Absolutely peaks! 💯 Agreed! Terrible to get through, taking some time to process is completely understandable, but I cannot wait for everything that follows. We have quite a ride left! Thanks you both! 🙏

Pushindazeez

Totally agree, the Red Wedding didn't phase me at all, but I wasn't as invested in the characters or the show as I was TWD.

Abubakar Ahmed

I never understood why people would quit after this, why even start a series if you're not ready for character deaths, especially big series like TWD. Btw, I've never seen people regret finishing this series, the only ones who complain are the ones who didn't finish it.

007Angelo

True, I almost forgot he said that. Great memories.

Christopher

If it gives you any comfort, Conquest in Invincible is voiced by Negan so Mark aka Glenn got some vengeance eventually.

Tom

This isn't true. Glenn was always going to come back after the fake out dumpster death. His survival was written before they even filmed the "death". They didn't know how audiences would respond to that until it released.

Pushindazeez

I'll grant you there were a couple that were interesting but not the best in my book. I struggled through most of it but for me it was never must-see tv again like it was in the first 5 seasons.

o.o

a lot of this looks really bad, but this season and the next are really good. Negan grows on you as far as evil villians go. No one will hate you for liking Negan. He is 100% a great villain and makes scenes really good when hes in them.

Tom

A few fun facts about this ep: - They filmed multiple deaths for this to avoid spoilers/leaks. One in particular was Maggie replacing Abraham. It leaked on YouTube not too long after and it's still there to date. It's pretty brutal but really interesting how much effort they went into to keep things hidden from hundreds of extras and crew. - "The Day Will Come When You Wont Be" comes from the line Dr Jenner said to Rick when he let them out the CDC. Rick told Jenner he was grateful for sparing their lives, Jenner responded "The Day Will Come When You Won't Be". Forget everything the group has faced in the past...this is the day he was talking about. - This is the most watched episode of the entire series. I remember watching this live and the entire summer before it aired, it's all people spoke about. Everyone was talking about who did Negan kill? Speculation was crazy. TWD buzz was real.

Tom

Well said James. People seem to forget that Rick and crew only kill for survival and necessity. They had already got word from Hilltop that the saviours were bad and needed taking out, and made a trade deal for food and supplies, which they needed. Negan and the saviours love to put on a show. The way Negan laughs and makes jokes as he kills his victims is horrific. Absolutely phenomenal villain and actor, but nowhere near to "reasonable" or on the same level as our group.

aboutargent

i quit watching the tv show after this episode for a few years and haven’t ever recovered from glenn’s death… i feel so so bad for maggie

John Neiberger

Same. I was already getting fatigue from the constant bad crap that happens to them on the show, but this was the episode that did me in. I did try to pick it up again a couple of years later and whichever episodes I watched were really bad, so it just wasn't worth the investment any longer.

John Neiberger

I can tell you why. Because the show was already running long. I was getting fatigued from it already, as were a lot of viewers. Then the did the cliffhanger to try to generate ratings, and maybe it did, but then as if that wasn't enough, they really leaned into the gore. It was a signal to those of us who haven't read the comics that this was the direction they were headed. JDM is amazing, but he couldn't rescue the direction the show took. I like good story telling and don't mind some gore, but I'm not into torture pr0n.

DRIP DROP

Now how can anyone say that is not a cinematic masterpiece... imagine being someone who stops right here

AnamL221

Y’all’s channel is the only thing that could get me to watch this episode again. I have rewatched this entire series more times than I can even count but I could never bring myself to rewatch this episode.. It was so traumatic!! 😩 I refused to watch TWD for like a year after.. I’m so glad I started back though. Yea.. it definitely feels like a piece is missing without Glenn but it’s still a great show and is worth continuing. Great reaction as always!

Jamie Neill

Nice one! Same with Fear, i enjoyed it - some amazing characters & I reckon they’d enjoy it!

Korivex

I know this episode was exhausting to watch and the way you are feeling is exactly what was intended. I can assure you that this is the worst episode for trauma you will see. You have to keep watching because it gets really good, you'll be cheering again and this can't be the lingering episode in your head. Trust... you must go on, you will not regret it. We are at the very bottom of the roller coaster and there is no where to go but up.

Korivex

You really missed a lot of great tv. The next episode is especially good. I felt sick after I first seen this episode and though the show took a really dark turn that I didn't want to see, but I was wrong.

Jamie Neill

Hang in there guys. A lot of viewers dropped off & there’s a different feeling for a while but many peak moments again. I suppose Glenn went out faithfully to the comics. Find that spark again 😊

aboutargent

i get that… i personally don’t see how the drop in audience viewership couldn’t have happened when they kept killing loved characters every other episode. it drained whatever enjoyment people had left to carry on with the show because they overdid it

the continent

I know it being played by actors and with the practical effects its absolutely disgusting to see Glenn killed like that, but I absolutely love that it was taken out of the comics. Jeffrey Dean Morgan also...absolutely BRILLIANT. Him and Andrew f-ing Lincoln playing against each other...too good. RIP Abraham and Glenn. Glenn is the GOAT, moral compass, most relatable on a humanity level. And my fav shot is the Sunday Dinner, it's all our main cast looking beautiful, I see it as an alternate Universe/timeline.

The Nothing Archives

When they filmed these episodes, they filmed all of them being bashed, so not even the actors knew, as far as I remember.

Colton

Glen was my favorite character in the series, I knew his fate in the comics so when Negan killed Abraham first I actually started celebrating only because they didnt kill Glenn. Then when Daryl did his stupid outburst I was like Oh Shit hahaha

Yoursinchris

I did warn you Spartan wanting the next big bad 😬🤭 careful what you wish for

URxBREATHTAKING

Great reaction guys well done, please don't give up now season 7 is one of if not the best season of TWD.

JDM

I miss Shane, i would of loved the interactions between Shane and Negan...also dont let the Shane haters stop you from defending him, their are worse characters then Shane like Game of Tnrones, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Buffy, Super hero movies and TV all where villains who killed for pleasure become heroes, its fiction, i for one love Shane..... Fun Fact both the actors that played Eugene and Aaron in episodes of the post walking dead show called talking dead wished Shane was alive for the savior arc

Bryce Storey

That would defeat the entire purpose of this episode, Glenn would die for no reason

Jill

100% agree

Gabriel Barott

What an episode to showcase a really great villain. This is a very disheartening start to actually a really good season. I hope you guys stick with it! Negan is brutal and I think Daryl's anger is obviously justified, Negan probably deserved the punch. Though it's clear that it maybe wasn't the most intelligent move, and I think Daryl obviously quickly regretted it. Seeing Daryl cry and flinch at the sound of Glenn being beaten to death is probably one of the most gut wrenching and heartbreaking moments of the show for me. All of that being said, I don't feel confident that it's Daryl's fault that Glenn is dead (at least mostly). While I do understand that Negan gave a warning, it's ultimately Negan's choice on how to react to Daryl's punch. It's even Negan's choice that Abraham had to die initially. If you take the personal accountability away from Negan, then you can no longer say that Negan is responsible for anyone he kills, but just that he's doing what he thinks is the right way to handle it (which we all know isn't true). It's understandable and probably fair that Negan is angry that our main crew slaughtered many of his men. Though it's the responsibility of each individual person to decide not to retaliate or seek revenge, perpetuating the very thing they're trying to prevent. All it does is foster more hate, resentment and death. This may all sound a bit idealistic or naive, but I actually think understanding where the responsibility lies is the best way to shape the future into something more beneficial. Obviously, if I were in a hypothetical scenario where I could say this to Negan, he probably wouldn't lean into that philosophy. I just want to provide a defense for Daryl. :)

Josh

I thought about it but I realized this negan character is such a good villain I stop watching twd after you know what happened I just couldn’t accept it

30A Nerds

When Abraham gave the peace sign to Sasha, that was improvised. That was really Michael Cudlitz saying goodbye to Sonequa Martin-Green. Imagine, what if you had followed Negan from the start... How would you have felt about Rick and his crew killing 20-30 of your friends. Negan is my most favorite character. Very complex, so much depth.

Malorie

This is the episode I've been dreading. Honestly my heart was racing even though I saw this when it aired and i knew what was going to happen. I was on the verge of a legit panic attack watching you watch it and THANK GOD pudgey started screaming because it was the comic relief i needed. That probably says something about me but I'll talk about it with my therapist.

Ivan Rasmussen

This season sees our group at its lowest. For me, it's one of the weakest seasons but hang in there, Season 8 and onward are pretty peak. You have to have darkness to appreciate the light

Zane Platt

Nope. It really isn't. There is a point to everything that happened and how it did. These last two episodes put you in the same position as Rick and the rest of these characters

Zane Platt

Season 9 is great...

Zane Platt

It isn't torture porn... It absolutely fits with the nature of the show

Pushindazeez

Completely agree, it was torture p*rn and they crossed the line. The show became a chore to watch, there was no longer any hope, heart or soul in it. They just kept making missteps, another big one in season 8.

Lyons

This is the first time ive EVER laughed at a reaction to Glen's death.. i swear to god😂 all thanks to Pudgeys acting😆 not a single tear in sight, that was some fine dine genuine 2nd hand cringe🙏🏻I seriously cant wait to see how you edit that for youtube😭

Rich Plumb

and that is when I stopped watching the show! lol

Lyons

"I fucking hate Negan, but i fucking love him" she says laughing with a smile on her face😂 1st time watch people🤦🏻‍♂️ remember that🤪 its really important to remember what you felt like when you 1st watched this.. not how you felt AFTER watching it.. im genuinely dumbfounded that you guys are so successful because the more I watch the more this whole channel is SUS. Yeah im talking about you as well now Spartan, aint no way your that dumb. But then again people like to be numb and just mindlessly watch bs, so maybe this is just the way😂 sad times man, sad times

ariel mermaid

Sasha and Maggie both lost their partners and their siblings it’s so sad

SeaShel

JDM is pure genius in this role. No one else could play Negan the way he does...so much charisma.

Vito Pagliuca

If anyone is stupid it's you, paying for a membership just to talk shit and complain on reactors first time watching a show. Questioning their success. Like, why the fuck are you even here...?

Ryan

Agreed, John. Later episodes are just like "oh this bad thing is happening lets fix it". Then we fix it and "oh another bad thing lets fix it". Its just repetitive and predictable and boring.

Kay Renee’

Same thing happened when I first watched lol I’m a comic reader so when it was Abraham I was like “thank god” then……. 😭 Abe was cool and all but I loved Glenn

Nene 🩷

Is it bad that I laughed like an idiot throughout this whole reaction? 🤣 give it a couple years & a few hundred rewatches then you’ll be able to laugh about it 😭 it’s crazy how different I feel during different rewatches…bc Eugene used to irritate me (he talks too much) but this time watching with yall I was actually surprised how differently I felt about Eugene dying like I thought I was on Spartans side but I thought about it & he’s probably one of the most important people in that line up. Like even tho he lied about a lot, he’s probably the first person you shouldn’t kill.

Nene 🩷

Also did y’all notice Abraham saying bye to Sasha by doing the peace sign? 🥺💔

Estevan Rivera

I remember the first time I was upset about a reactors reaction not matching mine... I got over it though and understood not everybody reacts the same way...clearly you didnt lol

Buğrahan Bilaloğlu

You are that mining meme that stops digging right before it hits diamond lol

Buğrahan Bilaloğlu

Yea guys if you are watching game of thrones skip the first 4 seasons and start from season 5 guys ahhh comment

spartanandpudgey

you must be new here 🤣 if you know anything about Pudgey, its she has an immediate love/hate relationship with psychos. those who have followed us across many shows know this. we also rarely, even the worst villains, see them as just black and white good or bad, which isnt common i know. if this is sus idk what to tell ya, maybe raise your standards. if you watch our red wedding reaction it will likely be similar, pudgey goes from hysterics, to screaming, slowly to tears. the glenn death is pure horrific shock, dont need to cry immediately, plenty of emotions after. if you dont enjoy our reaction them there are many very entertaining talented reactors for you to enjoy. cheers

spartanandpudgey

you must be new to Pudgeys reactions if you think thats acting 🤣 pudgey goes through the 5 stages of grief on sight, and yes that usually includes some sort of hysterical laughter which, believe it or not, she does in real life regularly before crying/being sad, its how she processes her emotions, not as uncommon as you may think

Isaiah

The crazy foreshadowing when they attacked the outpost. Glenn finding the polaroids and observing them not knowing that was gonna be him someday. I watched y'all react to that episode and couldn't stop cackling knowing you guys were NOT ready for this shit.

Ghu6nn

It will forever be in my top 10 TV episodes

Ghu6nn

I'd say Jeffrey Dean Morgan came in and stole the show, but Andrew Lincoln was just as damn good. They simply elevated each other. The Emmys never nominate horror shows, and it's a TRAVESTY that they weren't both nominated for this. Rick's snot bubble alone should've won!

Ghu6nn

Not only this, but further back in two instances. The Terminus people almost killing Glenn with a baseball bat, and then Glenn finding a baseball bat in Noah's community.

Ghu6nn

It's such a crazy detail!! I only noticed it after rewatching the show for like the 5th time!

Daniel

"Peaks even more" when the reviews actually say otherwise 💀

Bill B.

Well this is the first time I’ve rewatched the episode. The way it’s put together is brilliant. It is also too good…. It tortures the viewers too. Spartan is right it’s simultaneously the best and the worst. Side note, one of Pudgey’s screams woke up my next door neighbor, he came to ask me to turn down whatever I was watching. Lived next to this guy for 8 years never had a complaint before!!!

Bill B.

What T said. They don’t change storylines like that mid season.

Dirk Diggler

I think Glenn is really dead.

Patrick Saona

Rick made a big mistake underestimating Negan and his group and he ended up paying the ultimate price for it. They should’ve never had attacked that outpost. Rick started this and Negan ended it

DeathXWarfare

its hard to notice on the first watch but abe actually flashes sasha a peace sign right before he goes dies

DeathXWarfare

just noticed someone else pointed it out already lol

spartanandpudgey

would have loved to see that interaction as well! would have been bloody epic ❤️

spartanandpudgey

how!!! the episode is heart breaking but I cant imagine never seeing what comes next?!?!

Kayleb Patel

Usually the best thing to do is watch season bloopers of TWD to get rid of that emptiness

Rylee

Completely disagree. the show needed something this groundbreaking to keep it exciting!

ericg0724

Damn that look of devastation, I remember feeling oh too well unfortunately years ago. Keep your heads up guys 🫡.

LunarioVT

Well, congratulations Spartan and Pudgey. You guys made it, I am proud of you lot.

Sharpgirl

It's not just who we lose, it's HOW we lose them.

Will

it's like my 20th time rewatching this show and damn this episode is still just so haunting

Victoria E (vickster5001)

So, I swore I would never watch those scenes ever again & on my own rewatches I don't and again here, I do not look at the screen during the execution scenes. I will never view those images again. I think I'm in the minority, but I do think it was too graphic, with too many shots of that gore. I know it's TWD and there's gory stuff, but this was just too far for me. It's all the more annoying when they are in an episode with some of the finest performances in this series - Andrew Lincoln is incredible here. JDM is such a presence, who you hate but then laugh when he comments on Daryl's name suiting him. And then they end it with Lauren's breaking us as Maggie. I remember screaming when watching it and my flatmate wondering what the hell I was watching and that it couldn't be that bad, but she was on the phone to her sister in the U.S who'd already seen it and she confirmed it was THE worst thing she'd ever seen.

Victoria E (vickster5001)

I rewatch the episode, but not the execution moments. I'll never have that visual in front of me again. I can cope with the sound, but no to seeing it again. Covered up the little box on the screen for this reaction for that part of it. It's just so awful.

Victoria E (vickster5001)

One thing I will say John, as someone who agrees that this was too graphic, even for this show, that level of gore and graphic torture was not the new direction, as nothing in the series was ever as horrific as this.

Victoria E (vickster5001)

Agreed. There are highs and lows, which seem to vary with every viewer, like I really loved 9, which took me by surprise.

Victoria E (vickster5001)

Taking out 2 people, maybe, but it's the sadistic joy he takes in making the victims suffer that isn't reasonable.

Josh M

Yeah 9 is shockingly good. I was starting to lose interest in the show right around then and that season blew my expectations out of the water.

Madalyn Parker

What’s cringe is paying for a membership you just want to complain in 😭😭😭 you obviously don’t know Pudgey well enough to know that reaction was exactly how she processes painful happenings 🤣🤣🤣

Ryan

Finally the show begins now, This is Negans show now

lackingnames

Sadly this is where the show lost viewership due to the constant drop in quality. Its all downhill from here.

Travis Hackett

Oh of course. I mean, we only lost 2 and had one taken hostage. Compared to the satellite outpost, we got off easy.

MFxx Rugrat

ngl my first impression was mixed , cause he was funny and evil at the same time, hes a likeable villain in the worst way

Ryan

Yea the only good thing about this show now is negan, great character

Mohamed Mohamed

I remember watching this in the 7th grade then having to wait a year or somthing to watch season 7 I was devastated😂

Alan

Are you guys actually planning on a break for the show? if so maybe Fallout S2 could give you a nice watch during said break.

GBoker

Mark Grayson avenged Glenn Rhee, that's really the only positive spin you can put on this.

TomNook

Invincible‘s voice actors is Glenn, Conquest voice actor is Negan make their fight all the more cathartic in invincible.

Jay

I don't think it's a spoiler to say that next episode is a nice palate cleanser for this shock to the system.

Buğrahan Bilaloğlu

if he just shot them in the head it wouldnt send the same message

Dillon Nagel

Thankfully for me when I watched this episode I was able to fast forward to get that sweet revenge 😂 I was literally sooooooo mad.

Skyler

Spartan and Pudgey, I remember seeing this when it aired. My best friend & I were 16, just sobbing & shaking with anxiety the whole time. The longest 45 minutes ever stg. I still cannot see this episode without feeling that anxiety. The sudden brutal death to Glenn and Abraham lost some viewership. While it def sucks, losing Glenn especially is very hard though this is the way his character dies in the comics, this episode was so well done. We couldn't be the top dogs forever, someone had to come knock Rick down a few pegs. But it is a new beginning & apart of the journey & story of TWD, the rest of the show holds so much story that stopping would be missing out for sure. I do not blame you guys for taking a break though, much love .

Gum Gum

Ned betrayed his honor Glenn betrayed his innocence

Skyler

Also the title of the episode is a call back to season 1. Dr. Jenner opened the door at the CDC after Rick begged for a chance to keep going. Rick said "I'm grateful", Jenner tells him " The day will come when you won't be". No one thought at the time how much of a foreshadow that line was.

JonSnow21

Shane is way worse than Walter White if that’s who you are referring too.

JDM

Again its just a tv show dude, walter white is one example from one tv show....even ross marquand who plays eric said when asked by Chris hardwick on talking dead "who do you wish was still alive" besides for it being the savior arc as mentioned he said he wished shane was still alive because of he outlasted lori's death it could of set up a very cool redemption arc for shane... which it is possible, their are worse characters that get redemption arcs in tv shows i dont know about this show but definitely others hows...people who watch fiction want to see a bad guy, or the guy that walks the line between good and bad become good guys, again we have seen this in many other shows, its fiction it happens

JDM

Your name is jon snow so im thinking that means your a game of thrones fan... jamie lannister litterally pushed a kid out the window to kill him which is much worse...but look how much he became loved by the end of the series, if it wasnt fictional of course we would hate him but its a fictional, fictional shows is the place where its okay to give people second chance because its only fictional characters

🕊️xXZephyrus2002Xx🕊️

Can’t say I blame them but I’ll be real when I first watched I put this off for a whole damn month 🤣

Veilsix

I was a die hard faithful Walking Dead viewer until this happened. Between the mid season cliffhanger with Glenn's fake death then turning around and ending the season on another cliffhanger not revealing who was dying, to killing both Abraham and Glenn this way- something about that whole sequence and making the audience wait left a negative taste in my mouth. Before the show resolved most things within the same episode the situations developed in- to me the cliffhangers felt like unnecessary cheap shots at my intelligence.

Veilsix

Correct though at the time I wasn't so sure they were going to actually do it because of what they did with killing Denise at the tracks instead of Abraham. I figured Abraham would be the scapegoat for Negan and they'd let Glenn live due to his popularity with Maggie... I never expected it would be both.

Veilsix

This is why at the time I held out hope for Glenn. I figured they were going to swap Abraham in and we'd get to keep Glenn because he was such a fan favorite... never once thought they'd have gone for both at once.

Veilsix

I quit at the end of season 6 because of the cheap cliffhangers they started with the mid season finale. The show used to tie everything up within single episodes and rarely left you on blatant cliffhangers. I found it so unnecessary because as a fan I was gonna be back anyways. When they did it again with three season finale for 6, I vowed I would watch 7x1 to see who they chose to kill and would be finished after that. Which is exactly what I did.

TanRhd

The show mostly follows the main plot points from the comics which Robert Kirkman wrote so he is to blame lol. The brutality is even worse in the comics. I highly recommend to keep watching when youre ready. I promise this episode was the most brutal the show ever gets. I like the comics more but comic Negan Arc and TV show Negan Arc are peak Walking Dead for me.

Lumen

Honestly, calling this episode “the red wedding of the walking dead” is an offense. This episode is on a whole other level. This is what the red wedding wishes it could’ve been. The lead up that’s been coming since last seasons finale, or since halfway through last season for comic readers, the psychological torture and the graphic content put the red wedding to absolute shame.

Lumen

After what, Josh? I realize you’re talking about a spoiler and you don’t want to ruin it fir anyone, but can you give a hint that doesn’t give anything away to people who havent seen it yet but that I, who’s seen the show, would know what it is? I’m just curious.

Lumen

And what’s your point, Daniel?

Lumen

Haha Veil, what a loser! 😂

Alissa

Some little things to think about: the show consistently hinted at Glenn’s death even way back to terminus, Glenn almost getting hit over the head with the bat and killed by the terminus people and when Glenn killed his first person at the outpost, he looked up and saw the pictures of people’s heads smashed in. His fate was always sealed. RIP Glenn And I love that Abraham did his peace sign thing to Sasha right before Negan hit him. It was like his I love you. RIP Abraham

Korivex

I was worried that the show was going to go in that direction, but luckily I kept watching because it didn't.

lackingnames

The delusion of TWD fans lol

Lumen

Is this SERIOUSLY the best you have? SERIOUSLY?? Like, for real. I hope not because that’s so disappointing. Especially to your parents I’d say.

Jammy

Comic Governor is def the worst

David Worley

NEGANNNNNN- the best. Also, please god keep watching or you're gonna miss HUGE character development from EVERYONE. You'll love it.

Veilsix

Not trying to insult here but the leadup to the red wedding is not only longer in terms of buildup but cleverly subtle in nature rather than big shiny and in your face. Not only did the red wedding do it years before the walking dead tried it, but Twd changed major aspects of the leadup storyline to end up killing... 1.5 Major characters. Had they gone as balls out as the red wedding did they'd have killed everyone around that campfire and then had a strong enough story and cast to pickup another 5 seasons with whoever was left at Alexandria and the hilltop. I could go on and on about how the walking dead would not have survived losing both Shane and Rick aka Robert and Ned in season one and making side by side comparisons... but the bottom line in as FUN of a show as walking dead is, it's not in the conversation as the potential greatest show in television history for a reason and game of thrones is. And this is just getting started we really don't want to get into surgical details on this one. So yes the delusion is kind of real here

Josh M

Why do you have to put down another show in order to compliment this one? They're both devastating episodes of their respective series. This doesn't "put the red wedding to shame" at all..

Josh M

Well Rick was right in that the saviors would eventually find Alexandria and try to enslave them, but he should've done a lot more recon before attacking the outpost for sure. Unfortunately I feel like the sheer man power of the saviors would've resulted in a similar outcome either way.

Lores

Troll

Mark Laniel

Abraham didnt die like this in the books, Glen did..so that was always happening. And yes, someone said Governor was worse in the books...probably true. The absolute worst charctaer from the shows you have watched? Ramsay Bolton. Because what ramsay did in the books, you couldnt show on a tv show or movie.

Mark Laniel

lol bro....the red wedding is why you have reactions. And in the books, that chapter is untouchable.

Mark Laniel

Pudgey was defo crying more after the red wedding

Taylor Osborne

You have to keep watching and push through this season. So many people stopped watching cause of Glenn but the show continues to get so good. Ya gotta finish it so u can watch the spin offs!

Tom

I like to challenge the idea that Negan truly had a choice. Yes, on some abstract level he did. In theory, he could have acted however he wanted. But in practice, when someone is in a position of power, they often do not really have a choice at all. He has to project strength, establish rules, and ensure there are immediate and brutal consequences for anyone who breaks them. That is the game he has to play in order to remain in power. The moment he shows mercy or indecisiveness, it risks being perceived as weakness, whether by people within his own group or by outsiders, and eventually that weakness will be exploited to bring him down. These dynamics exist for anyone who holds power. It is the same logic that governs the street and the way gangs operate, but it also applies to heads of state, CEOs, and leaders in general. A lot of people in these positions are not psychopaths. They may have empathy, compassion, and even a conscience, but they learn to suppress those instincts and adopt a more Machiavellian mindset because that is often what power demands if they want to survive and remain successful. Given all of that, I do not think Negan actually had much of a choice.

Tom

I agree on your specific point but not your general point. Yes this season is good and the next season is a must watch. I don't know how anyone could start this and not at least stick around for this storyline to resolve. Depriving oneself of the resolution is just stupid. As far as the whole show goes, I actually do regret finishing it completely. As you know in a few seasons there is a major casting change in the show and it changes the whole vibe. I stuck with the show out of curiosity and a need to finish despite these cast changes and I regretted it. The later seasons sucked. The vibe sucked. And the ending was meh. By the end I didn't feel much connection to any of the people in the show. So in retrospect I should have stopped watching as soon as the major vibe of the show shifted.

Tom

That is just stupid.

Blahobla

I was one of those people who stopped watching for a while afterwards. I just needed a bit of time to mourn. And I was scared to continue 😅 Like how can they move on after this? But I continued watching and I’m so GLAD I did. How could I not see how this amazing series ended? Don’t stop watching just because some people say it’s not worth watching. Cause it is!

Tray Hard

Just chill, both episodes are absolutely horrendous, why you are trying to down one over another, just relax a little

Ririn

It’s fascinating to think about what would have happened if Shane were still around when Negan showed up. Since Lori would already be dead by then, Shane would have nothing left to lose. He would have never kneeled. He would have attacked Negan right away out of pure rage, even if it meant triggering a total massacre or getting executed right from the start instead of someone else. What do you guys think? (I didn't stop watching the show after that, but I did need a break because Glenn was one of my favorites. I eventually picked it back up, but then I stopped again around the beginning or middle of season 8. Finally, just so I could keep watching your reaction videos, I decided a month ago to push through and continue watching so I could keep following your content.)

Gabriel Barott

He absolutely can establish rules, project strength and ensure there are extreme consequences. Though he does not HAVE to do any of those things. It is a choice, and he definitely makes the wrong ones long enough to eventually place himself in a position where he may feel that these choices are now the only ones he can make. You're stance is based on a presupposition that Negan needs his power to exist in the way that it currently does. Negan only wants to maintain his power because he feels confident that he knows the right path. Though it's obvious to anyone that watched the show that it wasn't, at least not mostly. All of that aside, it STILL doesn't make it not a choice. There is always a choice, and simply convincing one self that there isn't is just an excuse to continue doing the things you've convinced yourself are inescapable. It's a slippery slope that will almost always inevitably lead to a path of blinded willfulness. It's very easy to say you have no choice and just do the bad thing, it means Negan doesn't have to take an honest look at the difficult thing, which is that there is indeed a choice and it's too uncomfortable to confront that reality. Which is essentially just a cop out for Negan, it removes accountability.

fele

i payed early to watch your reaction and it doesnt even have a full picture and there is no sound coming from the show?

Sherry Bandito

Great reaction. I know a bunch stopped watching here but I promise the show is good all the way to the end .. ❤️

Anta Dasu

Negan is probably the greatest villain ever, such a bad guy, but what a character. One of the or maybe just THE peak episode from all series.

Paul

Negan would either have joined Negan or been an Abraham and been picked first.

Paul

Nah, the fault is on the Saviors, not Rick or anyone else. Always hate when people try to blame our group. Negan started it all by enslaving entire groups.

Paul

Hundreds of rewatches? Damn you're an addict lol

Paul

But Jaime had some stoicism and rationality to him, Shane was always unhinged, no way to reason or deal with a man like that. Fun to watch though.

Paul

The Saviors are a tyrannical group of mass enslavers, how is their wanton violence justified in retaliation for one group resisting them? What?

Paul

...what? I don't understand how people can post stuff like this. Negan's group are mass enslavers. Anything done to them is justified as self-defense. They have no ground to stand on at all.

Rachel Proulx

Not on Daryl. It is not Daryl’s fault!!! Even Maggie doesn’t blame him, so neither can you. Especially since you hero worship Shane, you are not even allowed to blame Daryl.
