P.O box: Spartan & Pudgey P.O Box 8017 Oakleigh East, VIC 3166---------------------------------------------------------------------------Full Length Reaction GuideWe take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

Use a dual monitor PC setup to watch both screens simultaneously

Use the split screen functions on your computer/phone to watch them side by side

Chromecast / Screenshare one screen to your TV while watching the other screen on a phone or laptop

HDMI your laptop / tablet to the TV and use the TV as a 2nd monitor (not mirror display)

Use your Smart TV or Gaming console to play the YouTube reaction and your Phone/Laptop to play the show (or other way around)

Download this google chrome extension so once you manually sync the videos up, the extension will keep both videos synced up when you play/pause, move around in the video, etc (can also pick up where you left off if you close the windows.) Also supports videos that need to be slowed down/sped up, so you can choose the correct speed in the extension: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/video-sync/npplmbdcndipnaemaoljdppjodakaicn?authuser=0&hl=en&pli=1

Use Google chromes picture in picture mode to overlay your own copy of the show over our reaction in a smaller window size (Link to the extension here: ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en )

We hope you enjoy the video!Love,Spartan & Pudgey 💕

THIS IS A SURPRISE! I love this movie! Wrecking but unbelievable! Can’t wait to jump in!

Joey

YES LETS FUCKIN GOOOOO

Phillip Tilly

They said they had to tone the movie down because what he really did in real life was too unbelievable. He fought in other battles beside for hacksaw ridge. The true definition of a hero 🫡

Irby

The battle here was further down the beach at the same time sledge and the guys from the pacific were fighting on Okinawa

Brody Reeks

I love Andrew Garfield man

DRIP DROP

Still advocating for superbad

Alexander Ocean

Man this movie is one of my favs. So fucking moving!!!

Tyler Janes

Hal is Desmond’s brother he survived ! He was at the end of the movie as the real guy but older

R3D

The father is Elrond from Lord of the Rings

z87kl

i was hoping youd react to this after seeing saving private ryan

EnVy316LeGeNd

Apocalypto if you like Mel Gibson directed movies, i freaking love that movie. People thumbs up

Michael

I love the interaction with Smitty when they are in the foxhole together. When they are talking about him using his gun saying “It won’t bite.” And Desmond says “Look around you” I always also think he remembers what picking up the gun did to his father. It may not bite today but it will later. In a way, he’s saving his own life and his future family by making that choice.

Alan

S-tier movie here. Excited to dive into this in a lil bit. Please tho next war movie has to be 1917. That’s my favorite war movie OAT. Elite filmmaking

Nate Terry

If you want more Mel Gibson War movies, then there's one called "We Were Soldiers" starring Mel and takes place in Vietnam(one of my favorites)....also the biggest blockbuster of it's era, "The Patriot" also starring Mel and takes place in the Revolutionary War of Independence.

Irby

Now yall need to watch and react to a video by the fatelectrician titled the old bastards. It's the video about the unit doss was apart of.

Veilsix

The old guy interviewed at the end named Harold Doss was Desmond’s brother, who talked about convictions.

James Waters

This may be my favourite WW2 movie, Andrew Garfield is such a great actor and to me personally there is something so wholesome about a man's faith pushing him to do such unbelievably heroic acts. In a time where everything seems like it has to be morally ambiguous or grey, it just means more to have a film centered around an actual straight forward good hero. Classic

Kale

Pudgey mentioned it would be interesting to see a film from the perspective of the Japanese and I agree! I recommend two films that follow the same battle but each from either side. Both are directed by Clint Eastwood. From the American side the film is, "Flags of Our Fathers" and the other is, "Letters From Iwo Jima" which follows the Japanese perspective. Both are excellent films, despite covering very heavy subject matter (like Hacksaw, BoB, and The Pacific) but important we remember. Lest we forget.

Ryan

One of the best war movies of all time. Andrew Garfield played this part so well. And my God Teresa Palmer (his gf/wife) is such a gorgeous woman.

taco man

I second this! We Were Soldiers and The Patriot is right up there with Braveheart. Fun fact, Mel was born in the USA but raised as an Aussie.

Nate Terry

yes, the vast majority of the cast of this movie, Hacksaw are aussie...actually, it's likely filmed in Australia.

Pony

I like when you guys watch stuff I have on my list but just haven't gotten around to

Isaiah

Something I came to learn recently was that Doss was in the 77th infantry division which was an experimental unit that the US military put together comprised of older men in their early 30s and 40s. As far as the military is generally concerned when most enlist at 17-20, that's old old. This division fought many battles in the pacific over WWII and outshone soldiers that were much younger than them. They fought alongside the Marine Corps, and those men came to regard them as Marines too. Big deal coming from the Corps.

Bill B.

YES! IMO best WWII film ever made!

Bill B.

2 hours 15 mins later…. I’m out of tears I think! And this is probably around the 15th time I’ve watched this film. Okinawa was, I believe, the last major battle of World War II. One thing I think you missed, the last body Desmond brought down with him was Smitty’s corpse. 😢 Desmond’s brother did survive the war, there was a short clip of him speaking at in the end interviews. He actually served very closely, on one of the naval ships supporting the army on Okinawa. When Smitty died it killed me the first and every single time I’ve watched this.

Timothy Kennedy

If you like these types of movies a great one is called The Patriot starring Mel Gibson and also has Heath Ledger.

SnorlaX

Top gun maverick

Boaty Zooka

You should watch The Patriot, another Mel Gibson movie like Braveheart

Even if you're a medic you still have to carry a rifle and learn how to shoot
