As far as the group goes, 5 minutes in they are facing a mother who seemingly wants her daughter bsck. Spartan wants to mow them down like everyone is comfortable with cold murder at the drop of a hat lol Plus, thats only the ones (Whisperers) that showed up, killing them all could see their real forces and numbers arrive.

All i can say is, how good was Alpha/Samantha Moreton as a villain?! She's definitely up there with Negan and The Governor in my humble opinion

I love Samantha in pretty much everything she does. I love her as Alpha, she’s scary and manipulative. Negan was the same except he had jokes. So them (Spartan) not seeing her as a threat is wild to me.

It’s going to be a really frustrating watch if Spartan carries on with this attitude of “being open minded” but clearly made up his mind on the Whisperes and how our group should just “light them up” despite them literally having two whole seasons basically explaining how that doesn’t help and them fighting for a better world

Spartan just underestimating Alpha and The Whisperers is funny. Make no mistake, she is by FAR the most dangerous villain our group have ever encountered. She is a pure psychopath and they are WAY more powerful than any group previously encountered. She’s not one to be messed with. Also, Samantha Morton who plays Alpha is an Oscar nominated actress and her performance as Alpha is mesmerising. She knocks it out of the park.

well I also only just recently realised we dont actually have many guns, i thought we had the fire power that we had against Negan in which case they would just be target practice. not having that many guns changes things

Yep. The story is now in an era where petrol and bullets are scarce. They do dabble with ethanol and Daryl's motorcycle runs on ethanol fuel, but you'll notice most of them are on horseback now

🤨 I was talking about Alpha and how you guys kinda see her as weak and non-threatening, nothing to do with guns. However I did make a comment regarding guns in a previous episode lol

yes, Alpha would be a pathetic joke if we had the fire power we previously had, her and her group would be dust in minutes. now knowing we are in medieval times, which imo wasnt explained very well, shifts the perspective. doesn't mean i am fully on board with Alpha just yet, but its a lot more believable that she is a bigger threat when we are significantly down on resources compared to S8.
